Lots of flickering v5

One thing you can try is (without P3D running) right click on the Prepar3d.exe, select Properties, select Compatibility, and then select Disable Full Screen Optimizations.

See how that works for you.

Best wishes.

I had flying firetrucks with *no* Orbx installed...with P3Dv5 RTM.

Now, with P3Dv5 HF1, I have not observed any flying cars...so far.

anybody figure the flickering fix yet?

Turning off the "Dynamic Texture Streaming" worked for me, so thanks for the tip. I agree that it is an ORBX issue though, was noticing it at a lot of their airports.

I'll have to try that.  Though I don't think this is just an ORBX issue.  Unless orbx global.  Just noticed it at Heathrow UK2000

I Used these steps suggested above:

Leave dynamic texture rendering on but disable VSYNC in the sim and the flickering is gone as well.

One thing you can try is (without P3D running) right click on the Prepar3d.exe, select Properties, select Compatibility, and then select Disable Full Screen Optimizations.

Turn off Dynamic Texture Streaming and the flickering should stop. This is a common issue with HF1 and other users have experienced it as well. Checking the box helps lower VRAM usage a bit if you can tolerate the flickering.

Spent several hours yesterday trying to get rid of the flickering and a very annoying white halo around many trees.

Started with default settings. Moved all sliders up/down (one by one) and checking/unchecking checkboxes. Disabled and Enabled all my scenery addons, specially ORBX.

In my case the only setting that made a significant impact was disabling Enhanced Atmospheric (Beta) it solved most > 90% of the flickering and stopped the annoying white halo of the trees.

Try enabling Enhanced Atmospheric and select Clear Skies.. that gives me the best of both..

Thanks for Your suggestion Bert.
Yes, Clear Skies is the only weather theme that does not show that horrible white halo.
So ATM its either Weather or Enhanced Atmospheric.
Can't wait for HiFi to update their products.

I know, never use it. But in my defense I just used it for the Horrible Halo around Trees.

Cheers
