Am I alone not to care much whether I am in the alpha or not

No, definitely not. I couldn't give a toss and the constant crunching of sour grapes around here from people bitter that they are not in it is childishly absurd.

I think the disappointment is understandable.  Many AVSIM members are very devoted flight sim enthusiasts who have owned or flown most versions of Microsoft flight sims over the years.  This new sim looks to be a generational leap over what we currently have available to us, it’s only natural that passionate simmers would like to experience that leap sooner rather than later.  Especially since some of the community is already experiencing it, so to those of us who are not the disappointment is amplified by being excluded from the alpha community.

Doesn’t seem so “childishly absurd” to me?

I prefer to taste the finished cake with a teaspoon than to taste with my fingers every step of the progression. All I'm interested in is the authenticity and its balance of the taste. So tired of the half empty or half full simulator.

I'm one of them.

Anyone old enough to have flown most of the versions of flight simulator are old enough to contain their emotional incontenence about being "excluded" from the alpha. But, "excluded"? Give me a break 🤣 This is not some kind of persecution. It's the testing/development stage of a flight simulator. They don't owe you anything. You are not entitled to be part of it unless invited. They are utterly within their rights to do it on their terms as the entire point of it is to gather information to improve their product. It is not to placate the the demands of people who want access to someone elses comercial product early and for nothing because they think they are somehow entitled to it. The alpha is about THEM and what THEY need. Not you. People will just have to wait to be invited or cope with waiting until release when the product is ready.

No? Well, it is.

Nothing wrong about keeping the freshness of the young minds alive in you, my friend. But it shouldn't make you unhappy 😉!

You just started another pity party....very amusing.

Jeez Louise, why did the word "exclude" trigger you so hard?

Exclude - to bar from participation, consideration, or inclusion

Seems applicable to me?

You label others about feeling "sour grapes" and over reacting, and then you make a post like that?  Relax a bit maybe?  😬

Sorry, people - but... could you give it a rest? There's nothing wrong with experiencing a feeling of disappointment, that you're not a part of something you really, really want to do. I don't understand this attitude - and even less, that you go out of your way, to beret and talk down to these people. Why? Yes, it is a feeling of exclusion - and it's okay to feel that way. I simply cannot comprehend this self-importance attitude which is demonstrated...
Nobody has ever said anything about that they I should be included in the alpha (or beta). Nobody has ever demanded, that one should get an invite. Some are invited - and some are not. But why disgrace these users, who are 'left out' of the company, by ridiculing their feelings about it? What do you hope to gain?

Sorry for the rant, people...

My initial posting has certainly not the goal to disgrace, ridicule nor berate anybody. Just to say that the flood of people expressing their disappointment again and again and again in any topic now, doesn't perhaps reflect what a lot of other people think.

I deem it sad to see people unhappy because we have a new sim on the radar which seems rather nice (well sad and I dare say funny😄). Paradoxical, isn't it ? People can find unhappiness in the strangest places.
