July 3, 20205 yr I haven't gotten an invite yet, and after seeing the latest pictures and especially the videos with all the watermarks appearing all the time, I opted out of the alpha sign up. I know I would be very annoyed with all the watermarks, so I prefer to wait for the final game without the watermarks. I understand it's a way to stop spreading NDA material, but am I the only one who thinks they have taken it too far this time?r Jorn Lundtoft I don't always stop and look at airplanes.........Oh wait, Yes I do. July 3, 20205 yr It's because of the leaks and it really hasn't distracted from me flying. After a while you don't even notice
July 3, 20205 yr Well can you blame them? They have extended the privilege of previewing this highly anticipated title to a very large group of people with this simple request not to share details in the form of discussion, screenshots, or video capture. A few dishonest people and .... well, this is why we can’t have nice things. I’ll take a few more watermarks over kicking everyone out of the program. Chris
July 3, 20205 yr Seems a bit silly to me, smashing a fly with a sledgehammer. I don’t really think the leaks did Asobo any harm. It’s possible these watermarks won’t do any real harm, either. But I have to figure some fraction of alpha testers will be put off enough to test a bit less. Even if it’s a small fraction, that adds up. So I really have to wonder what got Asobo so worried about the leaks to take that trade off. James

I know that they can remove them with photoshop in pictures, but it will be impossible in video clips. But surely there must be a way to put some kind of Exif data in pictures, like there is everytime you take a picture with a camera, and they can check which PC / tester it comes from. July 3, 20205 yr IMO, the original watermarks looked fine but the new ones look overly intrusive, particularly at night. Thus, they can probably impact the testing experience negatively. However, if the developer chooses them to be like this, so be it. Hans

July 3, 20205 yr I don't know about you, but I would cut some trees on the right entrance to the runway, before landing a first experience ...
July 3, 20205 yr It doesn't distract after a while, your brain just ignores it. What's important is the sim, watermarks are temporary. Greazer. http://youtube.com/c/Greazer
July 3, 20205 yr Guess it hugely depends on what you're focusing on. Like my windshield on the car. It is covered in smashed flies. Some say you can't see out anymore... but after a while you're used to the semi transparency 😉😉 without noticing the flies at all 😄 Edited July 3, 20205 yr by Wanderkroete
