PMDG NGXu released for v5

I think that’s a core p3d issue, i noticed the same thing with a Maddog repaint I had done recently on some of the flap surfaces.  Hopefully will be fixed in 5.1

It's a bit confusing though because even in V5, you can find NGXu repaints that don't have this issue (iniBuild's UAL 737-700 pack comes to mind). Maybe it has something to do with whether a paint uses matte metal or a polished surface.

How LM screwed it up is beyond me. In my opinion. P3d's version of pbr is the worst I have seen in any price of software.

FAA: ATP-ME, 737 CA, enough time in the 757/767 to be dangerous 🤠

Agree am not going back to v4.5, v5 and EA with the performance is the way to go.

Not installed the 747 yet.

Hi,

I don't know if this are old news for you, but I found that reinstalling setup p3dv5 for repair I recreated the shaders folder and got our lovely ngxu metals as it should be. I keept away of envshade for now. I founded that this issue was related to other aircrafts and I read some post related in avsim about repairing p3dv5 installation.

Hope that helps

pd. As I had p3d addons folder as a simbolyc link I lost all of my addons.xml till I make a new symbolic link an put it on documents folder.

cheers

Richard

Hi Richard,

Is this a work around? I only ever have had v5 after HF2 and not added any shader program at all.

I also put the envshade aside. Couldn't make any improvements.

Guys guys....just read the announcements made on PMDG forums. The blue reflection thingie is well known by PMDG and LM. It's related to a wrong material or something. LM said it will be fixed for 5.1 so PMDG had the choice to hold back the aircraft or release it with the graphical issue.

I prefer the second choice...

Yes PMDG said it would not be right and switchers also have blue lines in the VC. Its in my hanger to its fixed, MadDog and FSL have no PBR troubles shame PMDG could not work it out but need a fix.

Not that its needs to be in my hanger, but its also summer here so sim flying is limited so I will focus on BAV with the small amount of time I give flight sim'ing in these summer months.

1. You’d have to be brave to try a shader mod with the brand new beta EA setting. Basically, don’t do this.

2. The “blue shadow” thing may be real, but it’s subtle enough that i’ve never noticed it in my sim. No need to catastrophise about this and give up on the NGXu. It’s still a great plane, one of the best in the sim.

Well that didn’t last long. I have no idea why you would spend (many) hundreds of dollars on addon aircraft, only to proudly leave them abandoned in the hangar (as per your sig). Well, it’s your money I guess.
