Map of MSFS (2020) airfields by edition

Featured Replies

I created a map to illustrate all the bespoke hand-crafted airfields by Edition in the forthcoming Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS):

(if any Admins can allow me to embed the map it would be appreciated)

Thanks for the map. Honestly, I can tell you there are "a few" more ( around 37,000) airfields included, but these are the detailed hand-crafted ones.

Kind regards, Michael

I just edited my initial post to emphasise this is just the bespoke hand-crafted ones 😉

I had read elsewhere on these forums that there are another 40 or so airports that have been enhanced but not quite to the level of the detailed airports, does anyone know which airports these are....I think one is Gatwick.

they mentioned 80 in the discovery series ep4 video didn't they - whilst at the same time showing Gatwick and Miami. Then he quoted Iconic Airports and showed some of the hand crafted airports listed in the sells brief.

New PC Ryzen 9850X3D - 32gb ddr5 6000Mhz - MSI MAG B850 Tomahawk wifi - Gigabyte wind force gaming OC 5090 - 2TB Sabrent NVMe. Old PC - Ryzen 5900x - 32gb 3600Mhz RAM - Asus Strix X570-F Motherboard - ASUS TUF OC RTX 3090 - 1TB Sabrent NVMe. AOC AGON 32" 144Hz - Honeycomb Yoke - Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog. T Flight Rudder Pedals - Trackir.

No high detailed airports in the UK and  Germany unless you buy the premium, not many simmers come from this area (COUGH ).

You do get the mega hub LXGB Gibraltar tons of AI flight use that.

Many of us will remember the debates that sprung up with earlier editions about whether one would buy the standard or "premium" versions. In this case surely it is a no brainer given the degree of extra content!

Funny, but Scandinavia and Eastern Europe is totally void of handcrafted airports, what a pity. I'm also very surprised we haven't seen ANY screenshots from Norway in any of the weekly updates. I'm not Noweigian,,but it's one of the most beautiful countries to fly in, so wonder why they haven't shown it yet.

I don't always stop and look at airplanes.........Oh wait, Yes I do.

Yes. But it'll be AI generated and not handbuilt.
