We are excited to announce that build 1.6.13 (Closed Beta) is now available for download for all Alpha testers.

For those that have not yet received an invitation, invites will continue to be sent through 07.30.

Track IR

Microsoft Flight Sim now supports Track IR. This must be configured outside of the sim in the normal method. Track IR is available in the following locations:

  • Menu – Hangar
  • In-flight – Cockpit camera
  • In-flight – Chase camera

You have to fill out the application and then expect an invite on August 18th for 60 - 120$. 😄

Evidently one of the criteria is that you have to not give a toss about the NDA, nor for that matter really know much about flying aeroplanes, but want a go for free. Ability to rely on making poor landings on external view because you don't know how the avionics work is also an advantage.

Yes, at least that is an option.  I will pay top dollar $120 to become "public beta tester" that day  😉

In Soviet Russia, I don't own the sim, the sim owns me.  

Was hoping Rob or some avsim mod would have thrown my name in the beta test ring for it.

I figured MS team would have seen my posts from over the years and tossed me some bait to test something....I guess few more weeks is the only option left now.

It's all about "as real as it gets". In aviation there's something called "pay to fly" where student pilots are paying an airline to be allowed work for them in order to collect hours for their type rating. 😄
