So it was down again about an hour or two ago. Anyone else have this problem? I tried isitdownrightnow but that said it was up. Never been totally convinced by what they say though.

Chris, you appear to have posted around 03:00 BST Sunday. AvSim was fine around midnight and is okay now at 09:15 BST. Would be odd if it was slow or down during a short period. Who's your ISP? BT for me and it's fine.

no issues this am in uk.

Over the last few days I have not had any issues here with Avsim .

Norman Bowman

It might be regional in some way .

Here in South Africa it has been up and down many times over the past week.

This morning it was down at 8am but is currently up (obviously). It is NOT ISP related on this side as I can access Daily Mail online and Facebook with no trouble.

Mystery!

Yes a definite mystery! Ray I'm on BT fibre and no issues connecting to anything else, just avsim. I also tried on mobile connections.

It's been ok since those handful of server not available messages. Weird.

Chris

Been off all day. Just tried now and surprise, surprise. Live again.

For how long though?

Still huge problems. Was off most of yesterday. Back again today.

What is the problem? It is almost not worth trying any more.😧

Yes, also hard to access for me over the past two weeks. Accessible only about 30% of the time. 🙁

I'm inclined to suspect the issue is on your end guys, or something regional in your route to the connection. Avsim was easily accessible yesterday throughout the entire day.

lb.avsim.com appears to be dual-stack, and the routing between my network and that load balancer is significantly different when using IPv4 versus IPv6 (it appears a lot shorter on IPv6).

FWIW, Avsim is very hard to access during the day from my AT&T cell data connection.  As in, it fails to connect more than it connects.  No issues from random other websites at the same time.  If I connect thru VPN from the same device it works fine.  Just FYI.

Funny I was about to post about this. Every time I had a problem it was when using O2 4G connection. No problems with any other site or app, just avsim. Connected via my home wifi and it loads immediately. Disconnect and use mobile data and it won't open. Frustrating as it means I can only access avsim if there is wifi available. No idea why it doesn't like mobile. It's not all the time and it certainly used to be fine on it but it does seem to be getting worse, most days it causes me a problem.

Chris

sdjbkd.jpgChris - I have this problem from O2 too!

Avsim is basically "no go" about 60% of the time.

I think if o2 can't get a secure connection within a certain time Safari (Mac here) gives up and isn't prepared to connect to what it thinks is an unsecured network connection. Same problem with Firefox.

Other than VPN not sure what to do as no options to "connect anyway" appear on the screen.

Should hosted on the AZURE cloud then you can check in on made for MSFS app while flying 😄.

Have the same problem too, both on the cell network and at home on DSL. Firefox gives the "Hmm. We’re having trouble finding that site." error very often when clicking the "Go to topic listing".
