For those that have watched it ,lets hear what you think.

I could only watch it sporadically cause I'm at work. Yay for seasons! And also for them continuing to work on the ATC.

I unfortunately joined only at 00:40:00, but I really liked the positive feedback to do this once a month! We are being heard and answered! Love it!

Well, for one thing, it sounded like there's not one big slider for tree size ... 🙂

Favorite aircraft currently: MSFS Savage Cub

What is the problem with doors not opening?

I like the general approach they're taking to development.

Solid base package, but mostly aimed towards newcomers and casuals, where 3rd party developers can then build on to get content for the pro simmers.

I also liked the idea of world updates. It seems there's a ton of additional Bing imagery in the pipeline already that could massively improve ground detail in the areas where it is still lacking (mostly in higher latitudes currently).

The big question for me is how much they can improve avionics and flight models from the Beta versions to the release.

Yeah, don't get that too really. Can't be priority really.

Can we really please PLEASE take that into context, and compare MSFS default planes with FSX ones. Or even P3D. Or X-Plane? (third don't know, not owning x-plane). But I surely can say the airplanes are for the most part better than they ever were in FSX. Autopilot needs fixing OK, but the rest...

One definite statement that was notable for me was that every real airport will be in the sim on release. That will be reassuring for many alpha/beta testers but could also blow up in their face if it doesn't actually happen.

The G1000 in the beta is less capable than the one in FSX was.

I was left with the impression that these are real hard working guys, and they take their promise to the sim community very seriously. They reiterated (again!) that their primary focus is the sim community, but they have also taken steps to hand-hold the newcomers with baby steps. They even take flying lessons to be able to improve on the sim. I love that 🙂 I also thought it was nice that they said that it is more important that they focus on completing the sim as a platform because nobody else can do that, and even with 10 years they could not compete with PMDG in study level airplanes ❤️ I think that is a very sound judgementcall. Leave some stuff for the 3rd party devs, and focus your attention on the stuff that only you can do.

I asked the following questions in chat:

Will the avionics be updated?

(Answer: Still working on it)

Will there be cirrus clouds or other types?

(No. They talked about morphing existing clouds with scattering and stretching. I was hoping we'd get Cirrus, Lenticular (the little lens like clouds over mountains) and mammatus.)

Will in game purchases be auto updated? (No answer)

Will there be chart integration in the sim? (No answer)

Will the LOD be adjusted so that the ground looks better at high (8000+ft) altitudes? (No answer)

I was surprised there were so many questions about Shared cockpit (the answer was we're working on it). To see about 10 accounts asking about it made me think they were viewbots, but since I'd like the feature included, no complaints here!

Overall I thought it was a very good stream. Please remember that Twitch saves it as a Video On Demand (VOD) so if you missed it you can rewatch it!

It's a very special issue with their scenery development pipeline that I can't go into further detail on.
