It would be nice if they'd archive not only the past 24 hours, but the past week as well. Even this won't satisfy everyone, though. Like you, I am really hoping for archived historical weather. August 14, 20205 yr I thought it was a fine interview but there were two questions that stood out to me. The first was when they were asked about cirrus clouds and none of them seemed to know what was meant by the question at first. that was a little off-putting. I'm hoping some graphics coder will just introduce actual cirrus and then show the bosses what can be done. I'm currently wondering why the 'icing on the windshield' code can't be used to also place cirrus. It shouldn't be too hard to graphically modify the icing by making it larger, more wispy and more transparent I guess and then apply it to layers of the atmosphere (said the non programmer 🙂 ) The other question is one that either I or they misheard because what I heard concerned modifying default aircraft and then uploading those to the marketplace and they didn't answer that. I'm not sure of the questioners intent but it seems to me that a 3rd party might want to 'fix' a default aircraft or maybe produce other variants of it and then provide those for others via the marketplace. None of that got answered that I heard and its very possible i just misheard/misunderstood the question. But I do wish they'd have answered it because it would be easier to download entire planes from the marketplace rather than a set of gauges that rely on the end user to mod an aircraft to install. That will be reassuring for many alpha/beta testers but could also blow up in their face if it doesn't actually happen. Alright, I just saw in a German previewer stream that Stuttgart Airport is in fact, still missing in the current release candidate. That's disappointing, because it's likely not the only one.

Now, while most people wouldn't think of Greenland as a destination you would fly to, anyone flying something besides a modern jet airliner across the Atlantic will be thinking of Greenland as a location to fly THROUGH. The main waypoint for a transatlantic flight is Narsarsuaq, BGBW. There are several other Greenland airports to the north if you don't have the range to get to Narsarsuaq. Other well traveled areas of the world are well populated by airports. Papua New Guinea is an example of having lots and lots of tiny airstrips. Whenever something doesn't appear on Bing Maps for whatever reason (cloud cover, blurred photo because of security reasons, outdated photo, very low res photo), it appears it didn't actually make it into the sim. I do however fail to understand why that would impact its appearance in the sim. What kind of database are they using to decide which airport exists and which doesn't? That's what aeronautical charts are for, not satelite data. Edited August 14, 20205 yr by Farlis

You can use Bing maps yourself in various places to draw your conclusions on what this means.

August 14, 20205 yr Try a flight from Van Horn, TX (KVHN) up highway 10 past El Paso to Las Cruces (KLRU). Follow along on skyvector.com and look for landmarks, which you should see plenty. The Sunland Park Race Track west of El Paso is pretty cool. "Numerous orchards" is cool. Lots of good stuff like that. Unfortunately there are no wind farms in the area, which is one of the coolest things in the scenery. Let me know what you think of the various radio towers. Hook Larry Hookins Oh!
