Guy is  in a MSFS 2020 forum but ok.

OP don't buy anything for xplane less you just want to toss money out the window.  X-plane is going to die and MSFS 2020 will become the new Flight Sim over the Next 10 years.

The reason I mentioned the X-Plane version is simple: the OP might own an SR22/have an active interest in the type/want to buy one (and add another dozen valid reasons here if you like). If you want a good simulation of an SR22 then I am afraid for the foreseeable future there is only the one choice.

I'm not comparing one platform against the other (hey, I am here, so clearly I really enjoy this platform as well).

i have eaglesoft SR-22T with avydine avionic

and i have MSFS2020 SR22 with like Garmin1000 avionic

i think.. SR22 of msfs2020 is very good.

1. not Turbo.

2. Garmin1000 is good    (  Avydine user is Few people , but Garmin user is many. )

3. VNAV.. is not functional.   maybe only ILS ( & HDG VOR FLC VS LVL ... ).

4. FMS is difficult  ( alphabet & numeric pannel is not functional )

5. very cute, i am happy

6. there is no error.  very Trusted. ( There is error in eaglesoft SR22T )

7. this plane works in wonderfull scenery with MSFS2020

Anyway to mod cirrus ins msfs20?

I like the Cirrus it is one of my favourite aircraft, it looks good and flies well, but it is not worth $85.

Asus Maximus Hero X11, Intel i9 10850k, 32gb Corsair Dominator ram, 2tb Corsair mp510 ssd  m2, Gigybyte turbo RTX 3090

All deluxe planes seem rushed last minute, they are probably worst batch out of all

That's probably what they actually are. Not just the premium, also the A320 for example.

ASOBO has been actively developing the sim for 5 years. Given they almost build from scratch, that is a huge task. They really released as soon as the core features were ready. You can see that.

Luckily I am happy with the foundation of the sim. It's technically solid to build upon and offers just enough to be satisfied. Community helps a lot in that regard.

Happy with MSFS 🙂
home simming evolved

I can confidently conclude that we will never see A2A level default aircraft in MSFS 2020.

The best we can hope for is for them to offer the user the ability to load a flight plan and for the AP to follow the plan. It also be nice to have airplanes that feel realistic while in the air and a proper flare for a "like butter" landing.

That's my only hope and they have a decade to get them right.

Regrettably, there is nothing 'premium deluxe' about the the aeroplanes which come with the Premium Deluxe version. All you get for the money is even more fairly mundane aeroplanes. The SR22 should be one of the better aeroplanes really; it is the best-selling GA aeroplane of the 21st Century and is also famous for being 'the plane with the parachute'. Instead we get another very basic default aeroplane which looks like a Cirrus, but could just as easily be a model of anything from a DC-3 to a Spitfire as far as replicating the performance of the real aeroplane is concerned. Nor does it replicate the ballistic recovery 'chute either, and frankly if you're going to make a simulated model of an SR-22, not having a working ballistic recovery system - the thing it is almost certainly most famous for - is just poor.

Unfortunately, the Eaglesoft SR22 series remains stuck in 32bit land as far as the wonderful Avidyne PFD/MFD is concerned. I don't know if Ron will be able to convert the source code for 64 bit or if it would be worth the effort and expense, given that it would still only work in P3Dv4.5 and beyond.

Bill is correct as much of it is not yet able to "make the trip" to 64 bit, but it does remain in the back hanger while we await other project completion for the LM 64 Bit.

Still evaluating the MS 2020 package...

This will be very hard as the main cfg files for modding are encrypted. It will be figured out eventually but right now its a ways off. On the bright side some have figured out how to make liveries for it already. There's even a livery template available.

Every single premium aircraft has already been decrypted.

Where i can find decrypted files?

Not worth actually IMHO, I prefer now the DA40s ...

And the DA-40NG can be easily modded, so it will get lot's of improvements.
