OK, I have a pre-release of the compatability update ready, and I'd like a couple people to test it before I make a full release.   PM me if you have a little time to check it out this evening.

Thanks, @Flyfaster, but I think I'm pretty much set.   There were only a couple small changes that needed making.   I have a point release now that should be fully compatible with the new sim version.  It also fixes a bug I found in the previous version with the help of @Steve Dra that made the avionics brightness knob in the Caravan not work.  Now it does.

Thanks to everyone who volunteered to test.   Here you go!

Replace the existing directory with that and you should be good.   Let me know if you run into any other unexpected issues. 😄

The only thing I can say is that I am able to get wind and direction while I'm on the ground. Im not familiar with the real G1000, but its my understanding that this information is displayed in the air and not while on the ground.

Thanks for your contribution to the hobby.

You are correct. Will add this to the issue list. Should be fixable. 👍

Is this the version that blanks out (as in kills) the MFD in the TBM 930?

When Pigs Fly . Ray Marshall .

nah completely different.  The GTN 750 is amazing!  I loved that in P3D and XPlane, all touch screen instead of the fiddly knobs of the G1000.  At least in the sim entering waypoints is so painful.  Here's hoping the 750 comes to MSFS!

I am using a tutorial here

I have added the update to the community folder. When programming for a flight , following this tutorial , the G1000 will not keep my origin or destination airport after i have entered them in and go to the procedures page.

He has several very good tutorials on his channel, also covering the G1000.

Thanks, I'll check it out. Have tried with the patch and without, still won't airport code.

Suggestion to the mod: changing the colors of the PFD with Synthetic Vision OFF:

Hzeb0o3.png

I changed it myself to mod 1 in the image above, using the lines below:

        this.horizonTopColor = "#4686d2";
        this.horizonBottomColor = "#683f28";

And mod 2 colors are:

        this.horizonTopColor = "#0085b7";
        this.horizonBottomColor = "#57402e"

And it worked! The file is at:

...\html_ui\Pages\VCockpit\Instruments\NavSystems\Shared\Templates\AttitudeIndicator\AttitudeIndicator.js

The real G1000 colors are grayscale, but in MSFS they're not. So yeah, we do the best we can. I have some other options as well, if somebody wants my .psd, here is the link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/khd390b2n182vaf/G1000 Colors.psd?dl=1

And making another suggestion again: changing the font of the G1000 would be nice. @L3m0n did the first step already and posted in this topic.
