Very unlikely. VR needs to be closely integrated with the graphics engine to ensure performance.

I play race sims a lot. All major race sims that existed before VR was a thing have been updated with VR support over the past years. I can't remember any example where it resulted in significant bugs or performance issues that affected non-VR users.

Not currently usable. The aircraft SDK is currently very much a work in progress

more time on actually fixing and implementing patches that don't break more than they fix

I doubt the entire development stopped for an entire hour to host the stream. And even if they had to, the community really needed some answers to the more pressing issues.

They might as well stop creating the development updates, Partnership Series, Feature Discovery videos and so on.

Perspective and communication is important - in any context - especially this one, where folks like yourself are obviously not interested in either.

Actually, I doubt that Jörg and Sebastien do programming. Talking to the community is part of their job, though.

Yes they did, one of the questions was specifically targeted at DLSS, and they said these kind of features are the reason for them to implement DX12, not so much the performance improvements (which may or may not materialise, depending on the technical details of the implementation and the specifics of your system, according to them). They weren't overly specific about DLSS though, I guess it's still some time before we're going to see DX12 and they don't want to make too many promises. 

You can watch the interview yourself on youtube, it's nicely divided into chapters, so it won't be difficult to skip the parts you aren't interested in.

Yep, follow the link that pstrub posted above. The chapters are a bit messy in that area, but Jayne asks the question about DLSS exactly at 47:30.

I think Sebastian is involved in the development. In one interview he stated that he has an software engineering background and that he was participating in defferent tasks of the development (he especially liked the aerodynamics).

Also yesterday he mentioned that he just recently worked on something.

Jörg on the other hand is a manager. But of course it is also part of Sebs job as CEO to represent the dev team. They got a team of about 200 devs. It won't stand still only because he is not present.

Because the sim short history tends to make me think that the team does not fully master yet their engine and its integrated modules and that adding a new rendering framework will probably not be without bringing new pains. They candidly admit that they still don't understand the cause of the differences of LOD perceived by users.  

As many I am not interested by VR (YMMV) and I do not wish to see new bugs added by it. So putting it apart would have my preference.

And about racing sims, "comparaison n'est pas raison" 😏.

I fail to follow your reasoning. If they hadn't addressed the community, people like you would have been up in arms, asking for public clarifications and statements.

The “forum user” is none other than Jean-Luc Dupiot of Reality-XP who has created a downloadable file that, when placed in the Community folder, will remove all the unrealistic “skyscraper” buildings that appeared in the latest patch, restoring them to the original defaults. I have installed his fix and it works perfectly.

He is also working to open a line of direct communication between himself and the developers at Asobo to help them add the necessary SDK features that would allow the RXP GNS and GTN add-ons to be used to be used with MSFS.
