So they might not have single page but it will improved dramatically Good! There's no Reality-XP for those folks. I think it would be a shame if this became an 'airliner only' sim. EDIT: I guess what shocks me about this "change their mind" thing is that they didn't think that their sim would need a decent navigation system. Wow. That's just striking and kinda speaks to the idea that they envisioned GA just sort of 'getting around' on their own...on VATSIM. September 30, 20205 yr I wonder if they will improve road traffic, and more importantly air line traffic. At the minute when they land, they simply disappear, right in front of you..

September 30, 20205 yr I only caught the latter part but I thought it was pretty good. The quality of the chat feed was sub-teen-CoD so the mods did what they could. I think they need to learn "no" soon. The default sim can't begin to cover everything everyone wants. There were even people in chat saying we want study-level default planes. If you've been around the block a bit, you know that is a non-starter. Shared cockpit, for example: nice, but 99% of us will never use it. I'd like to see them simply say "no: TP devs bring it on" for a few things, and concentrate on the stuff that affects most everyone. Still, I came away feeling positive. They seem like decent, committed guys. I'm happy to give 'em a chance. Paul Skol
September 30, 20205 yr Some things I took away from that session: First sim update (beginning of NOV) will probably contain some significant (needed) feature additions and bug fixing. Personally I hope for a general revision of default aircraft, aerodynamic issues, turboprop engine logic, etc. Their team working on DX12 is large and working on it since a while already. It's more about features than performance. They've forwarded a request to aircraft manufacturers regarding license issues with community mod projects (in order to better support them) They did not reduce LOD. They are looking into why some people experience this. Actually they plan to extend LOD on higher altitudes (15-30.000 feet). They use a light map of the world (also present in the world map) for night lighting beside specific object lights close up. They like the word "backlog". To what point does that flight/aircraft in the ground is represented? At some point that aircraft will be seating there in the way of other ground traffic. I really want the live traffic to be implemented in a way that the traffic don’t just disappears out of the sudden Image removed as image is no longer available.

September 30, 20205 yr I like this format, and as I mentioned, I'd love to see something like this that includes a few big 3rd party developers. Of course, PMDG is a big one for me, but I'm sure there are other developers out there that others would like to hear from as well. I did, however, hear enough to convince me that their intentions are good. I especially liked the humility I heard around 44:30 where they said that they need help and appreciate the feedback, and it is also pretty clear that our feedback is what is being used to populate the backlog.. I do think they need to prioritize the charts. I don't care if we are using Navigraph or Navblue as long as the charts match the data and both match what we see in the FMC and the flightplanner. Without this, IFR isn't really possible IMO. I'd rather use Navigraph, but I think I'm attached to it because that's what I use. Another system is fine as long as all the components exist, match, and update regularly. Overall, aside from the issues with the most recent update, I think they are moving in the right direction. I have seen a couple posts from real pilots or people who are friends with real pilots saying the Navblue's products are not great, that small regional airlines tried to save $$$ by using it and it was missing a lot of data, and they they even queried the current Navblue data products for actual pilots and found they matched MSFS (same procedures/data missing as in the sim). I'm very nervous about Navblue as the partner here. As a workaround for charts - the new Beta version of LittleNavMap will load the MSFS scenery and nav library. You have to make sure to turn off the default out of date Navigraph data that comes with LNM, but once you do that you can see all the procedures that are in MSFS. (Also you can zoom in on the map and see how MSFS has named the taxiways, where the parking spots are, etc). This at least allows you to review what is the the MSFS nav database in a semi-chart-like format, if a bit unrealistic. It does not help people who want to fly on VATSIM where ATC goes to assign a procedure and it's not in MSFS though. That has to be fixed through better nav data in the sim. Or has that been replaced with a monthly update cycle now? kind of confusing since they never communicate the specifics. Keeps everyone of us guessing. thank you.

After this Q&A, I am pretty sure, they indeed read our feedbacks and try to react. Although, wouldn't make sense if they have dedicated community managers reacting on these issues in the forums in order to calm people down?
