I don’t think anyone has a problem with venting. We’ve all been there (or will at some point lol). But when venting turns to hating i draw the line. Obviously the OP isn’t doing that.

Rob...I know we have had some interchange on other threads..but I still have trouble,  defining...what is hate...attached to?  Who hates any version of flight sim software....???  I can't (unless I'm forum blind...) see any post ever on this forum,...that somebody has ever said, the word...I HATE THIS FLGHT SIM,  I HATE MSFS!

Please point me or tag your response, with the post that has HATE of (*****) in it.  I would like to read that for myself.  Not like (blah, blah)  They could do better....blah blah.   I'm fed up!....blah, blah....but in any of my examples...I don't glean 'hate' from any of them.  Frustration is not Hate...in my world of definition.

Cheers,  (Please post that hate thread for me. I really want/need to read it for myself. Thanks).

Then comes the latest patch... broke my TBM930 with the doplhing dance wobble on autopilot, making it thus unflyable. Got two CTD's when I clicked the VFR map, that was working fine before. More stutters and random fps drops on todays test flight, before the patch I had a very smooth ride with no fps drops on high settings.

THANK YOU ASOBO FOR YOUR INCOMPETENCE IN "PATCHING" FS2020 ! Does anyone test the new patches at ASOBO at all ??

1. I've logged 5 flights with the TBM 930 - I fly at flight level 280 - no issues.

2. There is a work around posted in regards to the crashing vfr map posted prominently on the msfs forums.

3. I did not notice any performance decrease after installing the patch.

Same here. I don't even use the vfr map. I use little nav map which is way better.

Just because it works for you does not mean it will work for everyone else.

Let me make this clear. People are perfectly entitled to voice their frustration about any product providing they provide evidence. This post has been reported but there's no way I will be locking it. For those of you frustrated by these type of posts just move along.

I've already given one person a holiday for antagonistic comments towards someone frustrated by the patches breaking things.

Thanks Ray for that excellent post. We seem to have had outbreaks of people taking offense on someone else's behalf, followed by personal attacks on anyone who simply points out either what they observe, or expresses frustration. Taking offense by proxy is not very sensible as only the direct people or organisation in question can decided whether they themselves are offended.

Frustrations or negative comments do not mean the person expressing them wholly dismisses a product. I've seen no comment by anyone saying the WHOLE of FS2020 is bad, but that aspects or patches or other specific items within the sim are poor or not properly fixed or checked. Some posters rush to the product's defense and in doing so end up being very aggressive towards anyone who has a different opinion.

This is a bad template for open discussion. As you say, provided you offer evidence, any opinion should be allowable.

With all the posts about CTDs when opening the VFR map, it was with trepidation that I opened mine. Held my breath....Nothing. Carried on serenely.

The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA

I think Asobo and Microsoft are misintepretating their own schedule. They don´t test it, implement things in an unfinished/faulty state, or feed the simulation with custom values, just for beeing on time.

Seems like they have very good schedule managers and more important creative solutions.

Did you try to open it once more after closing it, Ron?   For a test...out of curiosity when this was reported...(I hadn't used the VFR map feature yet...)   Well...after pressing FLY NOW...I let that all settle down, until the top V menu became available. I then pressed the V...and got the map window. Pressed V to remove it. Cool...I taxied to the active...turned onto the active...pressed the V again...and whammo....5 seconds of nothing, and then a great view of my Desktop.  Try again...try my M.O.   press to bring it up the first time...shut it right down....wait about 3 minutes doing something else....press V again...and see if the map opens up again, or takes you to the Desktop.

Try it again but leave the vfr map window open and minimize it.

BINGO! Slammer! Bang-ON!   Yep....even putting it on the back burner, to run after a few months...is not throwing the product out...it is allowing patches to mature it....  Well said!

Sure, but do we really need a wall of topics all saying the same thing over and over again?

Any opinions are welcomed i think, but most of these posts begin (or finish) with insults to Asobo/Microsoft, calling them incompetent and other bird names along those lines.

If you care to listen to the latest Dev Q&A, available on both Youtube & Twitch, then you'll hear the head honcho admitting that they rushed the initial patches. The head of Asobo stated that they put so many "fixes" in that they didn't have time to fully test each patch within the two week timescale.

So the answer to your question is that they were only partially tested due to time constraints. They are now increasing the time between major patches and will almost certainly put in fewer "fixes" at a time in order to prevent a reoccurrence. It's really worth having a listen to the Q&A.

And then people are going to whine that it takes too long for the update to come...

While I've been very keen to show my support for Asobo and am turned off by all the negativity on this forum, I am with OP on this one: Asobo dropped the ball on the latest patch.

Up to then, each patch had improved things and did not create new problems (maybe I was wise to stay away from all mods). But seriously... how can you release a patch that you KNOW breaks the VFR map??? Last night I was flying and had the reflex of pressing V. Boom, CTD. I was not a happy camper.
