I confess I don't do anything to antagonise it. I open it transfer it to my other monitor and leave it there. Perhaps I should poke it with a sharp stick. 🙂

Different problems are being reported. What do you suggest? As soon as one person reports a problem after a patch no further posts on different things not working correctly should be made?

How would that help potential customers make a decision whether the product was worth buying or not? As I said earlier, if the topic is of no interest to you move on to the next one. You also have the option to 'ignore' any members whose posts you find irritating. Doesn't work for staff and moderators I'm afraid. 😁

It often basically go down to "the stupid people at asobo broke my sim". And the problems reported are the same or very similar across all topics.

This very post starts with the assertion that Asobo is "incompetent". The thread title itself contains a leading question. How is this by any stretch of the imagination a contribution to solving issues with MSFS?

Secondly, and for example, we now know that opening the vfr map in the sim generates a CTD. There is a workaround to this. How does posting about this 25677 times address or solve the issue?

Thirdly, people post about "bugs" but rarely provide a complete snapshot of the cirumstances surrounding the occurrence of that "bug", for example, by posting error logs, dxdiags and/or results from the Windows Event Viewer.

Hey Ses. Hate might be too strong a word, but constant negativity in every thread, calling for the QA team to be fired, etc. would qualify imo. Let me see if i can dig up some examples without calling out specific people.

The OP of this topic suggested patches were not being fully tested before release and there is evidence they did skip fully testing before release. No-one has called Asobo 'stupid'.

You've had your say on this. I suggest you call it a day.

Either way never happened before. 1.9.3.0. Nothing but scenery in community folder

Ray, while I wholeheartedly agree on the substance of your decision here -- moderation should be extremely light, the remedy for speech you don't like is not to listen -- I have to say this is a bit surreal coming from an Avsim moderator. To put it mildly, that is not the moderating style Avsim has become (justly) known for...

James, it isn't a case of hiding posts I personally don't like or punishing people whose posts I don't agree with. It's about posts that are antagonistic and do nothing to help the OP.

Moderators use their judgement when moderating. That's all I'm saying on the matter as we are under no obligation to explain our actions.

Well, if they didn't listen to all the reported Bugs and issues reported by the Alpha testers in the first place and then decided to only due a one month Beta without fixing any of the numerous reported Bugs I have no sympathy for them!

The OP shouted in capitals that Asobo were incompetent in their patching.

‘Suggested patches were not being fully tested’ is somewhat of an understatement of the OP’s aggressive and insulting tone. I get and agree that people should be allowed to express frustration at dev’s mistakes, but when they go beyond to shouting incompetence, others should be free to tell them to chill.

...even if someone said as an opinion, someone should be fired for blah blah...still not hate (and I might have even written that, lol!) ..but...as you retracted the word...no problem. Rob, not being dense to your viewpoint.  But..(and no sarcasm at all, intended here...NONE!), if these posts --->well, to start off...the topic 'hint' of the post throws you off, why not just pass it by, as your mouse arrow goes down the list?  I'm not being a smart ***, here... There's a lot of stuff on Netflix...that I read the Political Correctness Content of...and just pass it by.  Same can be done here.  People are ticked...forced patches, that are retrograde.  I personally would LOVE to be able to download a copy of the RTM...(great FPS, fantastic world rendering!!!!!!!) and just stay with THAT for 6 months...if I could do that, Rob, ..I'd be happier than a you know what, in you know what!  But,...I can't...and I can't even STAY with a patched version, for (patch release day) ....---> wanna fly?  Better eat this patch...or you don't.

Why people get so twist-knickered about ANYBODY other's post...beat's me?  It's just stating a personal opinion of the thread topic., by the O.P.  Nothing more...for his or her published opinion isn't shutting down my computer, or defeating the on/off button. I can still fly my copy of the sim, they're ticked off about...all is good! Hope an event happens that puts a smile onto their face...sooner than later...and then I go eat lunch... Cheers!

Yes, i have had my say, and i shall keep talking about it, as its the point of this forum (i hope). And yes, he insulted the devs. Either something is allowed or is not, im just expressing my point, difference is, im not insulting anyone.

Tahts true, but i feel like those kind of threads are taking over, it reduce the visibilty of other actualy usueful posts.

By the way, at the risk of sounding stupid, i see RTM everywhere these days. What does it stand for? 😄
