What we need is a "What feature in this sim is not broke in some way?" thread.  At least it would be short.  Ahemmmm...I'm being sarcastic, but I think there are areas in this sim that cause many of us to spike in frustration for one reason or another.  It is good that those that need to vent can come here and let it be known because I think many do share some level of frustration for many reasons.  More power to the OP if he feels the need to share his discontent.  I personally enjoy reading the reactions and many of them are the same in every case when someone wants to share their frustration.

I want to personally thank whichever mod did administer consequences Charlie refers to in a the post I reported when the OP decided to use the PM system to badger me when I called him out in the forums for passive-aggressive behavior towards a well-respected 3rd party dev in our community.

I noted to him before his post vanished that he should not worry about his behavior not being "rewarded"....it was. 🤣

Folks, like most have mentioned here....it is more than fine to vent here...but when the comments start coming in and you believe you've been unfairly responded to, your point or intent was missed, or posters outright belittle you to a point you feel is boarding on the lines described in the Avsim TOS (Terms Of Service), report the post to the mods, they will review and take appropriate action!  We all know what those lines are, they are engrained in our psyche as social creatures....we just let our passion, and sometimes the urge to be snarky get the best of us (very much guilty as charged for me!!!). 

Then there is just the plain old boiling point that is reached where we feel the need to respond.   Again nothing wrong with that, within socially accepted talk.  You can usually tell when someone is replying "mostly" in jest and in good-natured ribbing, and that can always help to relive the virtual tension in the thread as long as it doesn't get too redundant or start to come off as "Badgering" (Big no-no in the AVSIM TOS)

Anyway...everyone's tolerance (or intolerance) to this is a varied as each of our personalities and life experiences....so there is always going to be potential issues with acceptance of the post, its intent, serious or otherwise. 🙂   I find it usually best that if I can't decide if sarcasm, ribbing, or degrading is the intent, and its bothering me enough to find out...I'll flat out ask in the best non-threatening way I can (which is hard to do these days, as just asking itself cant elicit a negative vibe if done incorrectly)...you know what I mean. 😉

If I can't find a way to verbally express my feelings on how this new flightsim has affected me, I usually resort to a screenshot (or 2) that puts things into perspective for me (or calms me a bit and makes me think "Why am I wasting my time in this forum when I could be flying in a sim that looks like this...out of the box. 🙂

I think that was me Steve so thanks. It wasn't a difficult decision to make given the language our friend was using. He'll be back in 4-5 days after his enforced holiday and hopefully will have learned a lesson.

Did you or other mods look into the PMs he sent me in addition to his bad behavior in the forums?  I usually sluff off direct attacks on me based on any perceived threat, but I felt his comments, and actions to actually start a 2nd PM to mock me, instead of continuing his bad form in one thread was a bit excessive, and based on the language and tone alone, clearly violated this specific TOS term:

» Stalking, Predatory Practices, Pedophilia: Any acts, messages, private messages or other material or deeds addressed to an AVSIM member that fall into any of these categories will result in immediate banning and AVSIM will report the behavior, with evidence, to the appropriate authorities. We are a family centered community and violation of any of these will result in very harsh measures

He can clearly be classified as "stalking" me as he purposely continued in a new PM vs carrying on the conversation in the original thread where he felt the need to belittle me (of course...continuing to badger me in the same PM is just as bad).  Anyway, if you decide to allow him back in in a few days, can you please impress on him that continuing his bad behavior in the PM system does not somehow shield him from consequences as he must have thought by not making those comments publicly (He already got roasted for his comments on the payware Dev and then when he started on me, the folks who seem to like my paints I've been giving away for the last 17 years or so also stepped in and gave him what for 🙂 )

Steve, I did see the PM as you reported it to us. I’m relatively new to modding but Charlie and the others are aware of his behaviour and should there be a repeat I’m sure the punishment will be severe.

Thanks Ray.  I'll let you know if he...as I said in my post in the thread that was whacked..."lets sleeping dogs lie".....he woke this one up and when I tried to ignore him...he poked at me again...and he got his "reward" 🤣.   Hopefully he will learn his lesson, because in my book...he's at 2 strikes with a Nolan Ryan fastball coming straight for his helmet. 🙂

However....a Nolan Ryan fastball heading for his helmet would almost have the same effect...to let me rephrase my original statement:

A Nolan Ryan fastball passing under his chin. Hehe....as they used to say in the day "A little chin music"  Or the classic "brush off" pitch if he's crowding the plate. 🙂

For the OP, I agree, the A-10C II is pretty cool...  But that's for another thread.

I'm enjoying MFS2020.  I'm early into my round the world flight.  Having left KIWA and just East of Niagara now.  Going North soon to cross over into Greenland, (probably in a few days.  RL jumps in from time to time)
