We were promised a complete sim which I gladly paid $120 for it. But, so far they have not delivered on their promise. Fortunately for me at least I can run the sim and enjoy it for what it does well without a CTDs.

BTW, right now every time I load the sim, I have to open the options window and change my visual settings because they don't save on exit. It's ridiculous the number of unresolved bugs that are still present after two SP updates.

SDK, SDK, SDK. I could tolerate all of the flaws of the current sim if there were highly detailed add-on aircraft available.

What does that mean..

Do you really want to know?

Airports are controlled & uncontrolled. They have taxi signs, runway markings, lighting & beacons , wind direction & traffic pattern indicators, FBOs, flight schools, and on and on.

There's a pre-release YT video were they show how every airport would be enhanced. They did not just released airports without main buildings, but some airports were completely left out of the initial release.

I'm not complaining, just stating what needs to be addressed.

I would rather have ASOBO make SDK development, the No 1 priority at this stage.  Third parties will ensure we get all the Tier 1 features we want if you give them the tools.  ASOBO cannot do everything themselves in the timeframe we want them to do it in.

I'm not interested in bridge fixing and AI car animations at this stage.  Third parties will do that./  many freeware enhancements already.  MANY.   Enhancing functionality of default aircraft /GPS /AP units and reliable data feeds for weather should be a priority next to the SDK

I think SDK developement should be an evolving thing. You can't have a complete SDK when you don't have a complete game. Things under development should have their corresponding SDK code co-developed along side them and the SDK updated as they go.

I think the next 2 or 3 sim updates (first beginning of Nov) will tell a lot about how serious ASOBO is about improving the core sim.

OK then, who gets to decide whether the updates were "SERIOUS" updates? You?  Me?  Joe?  Mary?

If they fixed MY issues, is Asobo serious?

Or if they fixed YOUR issues?

This is going to go on forever, there will NEVER be agreement about anything anyone does.  We see this in life everyday and based on the history books, it has occurred since the beginning of time.

Having said that, let ME tell you how the world SHOULD be........🙃

Of course that's an individual thing.

But we don't have to divide everything apart. There are tendencies that make up for a general impression.

For example if they tackle almost none of the big missing features, but add some minor assets and fixes, then it sure is a poor result.

If they tackle a few big things (default aircraft behavior, replay, turboprop logic, sensitivity, GARMIN, aerodynamic improvements, etc ...) then it's at least acceptable.

History seems to show (I believe) that many people will still find reasons to have a cow.  🐮

But just for example on your response, I PERSONALLY can care less about the following.....

1) replay

2) turboprop logic

3) aerodynamic improvements

4) sensitivity

I do want to see the Garmin fixed, but again, that is just me.  Until it is, I will fly the C152, or go to Xplane for a few G1000 flights.

Asobo is going to determine how to go about this process and I am sure they have meetings and folks there who disagree just like us here on the forum are doing now.  The honcho in charge will make the decision and the product will develop.  For better or worse?  We all make that individual decision and then take whatever action we feel is appropriate for us.

My action for now is to fly the C152.....everyone elses will vary.

Those were just some examples.

Even if I personally don't bother for a specific item, I will recognize their effort. Then it's rather likely that my priorities are taken care of in one of the following updates.

This entire forum is a development thread.

7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 96GB DDR5 | 4K G-Sync | Win11 Pro

I suspect Asobo have a very good idea what the overall community feedback looks like, since they give a snapshot of it in every development update.  However they don't gather that information by reading every thread in every random flight sim forum in existence.  Rather, their official forum has two sections, for bugs and wishlist items.  People can ask for their own pet unicorns there, and each post has the ability to vote on it.   This is where Asobo gather the information for their development updates -- they aggregate all the issues there, and the vote totals you see on the feedback snapshots is generated from that.

If one is sincerely interested in giving useful feedback rather than just making noise for the sake of it that would be the ideal place to do it.

In keeping with, what I think, is the 'theme intent' of the originating post, I will add;

1. WX, beautifully done, cool that MS went with a major outside vendor for content - can use some streamlining and a bit more interaction with the user to get wx information at different locations during game play.

2. VFR MAP, good start as a base to at least 'see' it - I think this need to be enhanced to allow for more complete and interactive flight planning for both IFR and VFR.

3. I love the traffic, lighting and the soundscapes, well done and I look forward to the some of the work that MS has indicated is in the pipeline for these effects.
