October 11, 20205 yr Hello guys! I thought it'd be nice to have a thread keeping track of the development of MSFS in general. It is also aimed to raise awareness for positive things that don't get enough attention. This could also be interesting for ASOBO to get a quick overview about community concerns. I'd like to start out with the turbulence / wind issues we had in the beginning. I sometimes got shaken through like a cocktail. After ASOBO released a patch where they mentioned to have redecued "horizontal turbulence" this seems to have significantly reduced overall. Maybe it was also a problem with weather in general. So, props to ASOBO! Now a flight actually feels like it does IRL. 👍 Happy with MSFS 🙂 home simming evolved
October 11, 20205 yr Please! With Sugar on top! 1) Improve live weather. Please make sure that it works every time. Thank you. 2) Improve all airports. 3) Add missing airports. 4) Fix the bridges. 5) Improve trees. 6) Please fix cars so that they cross bridges. 7) Add animated boats. 8) Add trains. 9) Enhance the GPS units with more features. 10) Improve the G1000 units. 11) Improve ground services. 12) Improve every single default airplane one by one. 13) Add fall & spring textures. 14) Improve the ATC system. 15) While you fix and improve features, please don't break anything. 😀 MSFS
October 11, 20205 yr And with the first reply, we can see how this thread won't go in the right direction, unfortunately!😄 I took it as a thread to point out how things are changing, not a wishlist or complaints list. October 11, 20205 yr Before everything else we need flight model and engine improvement (so Carenado can stay in business 🙂 ) 1. Legacy mixture issues (copy paste from FSX) 2. Asymmetrical thrust /critical engine 3. Propeller feathering 4. Turbine engine logic 5. Performance of default airplane 6. Induced drag revision (in “ground effect”) 7. October 11, 20205 yr Commercial Member IMHO, Asobo made a great Earth model available to everyone. But after last patch it is clear that Asobo team does not have the necessary and professional aeronautical knowledge to make a quality simulator. Therefore, now only 3PD my hope, who have knowledge and extensive experience in high-quality airplanes and airports developing. Edited October 11, 20205 yr by OSM

There are many animations in the Carenado Mooney that should have been included in the default airplanes. I'm in no way being negative, just pointing out some concerns that most simmers have and ASOBO should be paying attention to. MSFS

October 12, 20205 yr hahaha, I was ready to type all the awesome things in the sim.. indeed flat spin :(. ANyway, Visual wise amazing.. Sky colours just, hmmhmm 😉 First time every doing bush flying..ever First time Vatsim VFR. First time landing in the "meadow" behind my old house...ever Clouds are finally 3d.. I can talk with colleagues about the SIM. and they know it..sorta A lot of freeware development..a whole new group of people getting into Scenery development. I can go on Victor Roos
October 12, 20205 yr I would rather have ASOBO make SDK development, the No 1 priority at this stage. Third parties will ensure we get all the Tier 1 features we want if you give them the tools. ASOBO cannot do everything themselves in the timeframe we want them to do it in. I'm not interested in bridge fixing and AI car animations at this stage. Third parties will do that./ many freeware enhancements already. MANY. Enhancing functionality of default aircraft /GPS /AP units and reliable data feeds for weather should be a priority next to the SDK Edited October 12, 20205 yr by ErichB
October 12, 20205 yr I was quite happy to see that, after experiencing all sorts of trouble with the initial installation process, downloading the latest patch went really smoothly, and that the menu is loading somewhat faster since the 1.8.3.0 patch.

Your number 10 is my number 1.. 🙂 I should have said, "in no particular order." 😀 Having said that I'm NOT optimistic that everything in my list will be improved. They will probably do what has been suggested in this thread, improve the SDK and let 3rd party devs take care of the rest. FSX all over again. MSFS
October 12, 20205 yr Author I think the next 2 or 3 sim updates (first beginning of Nov) will tell a lot about how serious ASOBO is about improving the core sim. Edited October 12, 20205 yr by tweekz Happy with MSFS 🙂 home simming evolved
