adn horns? why dont planes have horns?  beep beep get out of my way...?

Airplane technology hasn't yet progressed this far. You still do it like in the early years of automobiles - stick your head out the window and yell "Eh gedoudda mah way - ahm flyin' ovah hear!"

I was a kid when i asked this question lol . now that im 40 with a fair share of hours i had come to a conclusion that in a car for example the horn send a message but when someone get ran over thats even a better message for the next person . In the case of airplanes engines send a better message ,We all know what happens if you get in the way so yeah no need for horns in the airplanes .....

To answer the first question... A hacksaw, and throw them in the cargo hold with the welding equipment for later.

On a more serious note, I accidentally triggered an airbrake or spoiler on the Caravan last night, but I wouldn't expect it to have one, and I can't for the life of me see anything on the external model.

Is this a known bug?  Pressing the 'spoilers' key definitively slows it down in the air - a strange one! 🙂

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

It has spoilers they are above the outer flaps and general move with the ailerons . You can see them pop up and down in external view as you turn the yoke.

AFAIK on a real C208 there is no way to deploy them both at the same time they are locked in to aileron movement, if the game is deploying both at once it is probably a bug.

👍  Thanks for that Glenn.  I can't see anything at all activate on the external model, but it looses knots rapidly when spoilers / speed brakes are activated (same button as I use on the Mooney speed brakes).

Must be a bug, but not a massive one (solution = don't press the button 😁 ).

If you move the yoke fully left and right when parked you can see them pop up as the adjoining aileron reaches full extension, but only one side at a time.

Pretty sure it is a coding error, the game has seen the plane has "spoilers" fitted and decided to enable them as speed brakes even though IRL that is not their function  😄

I saw an advert for a spoiler kit for Caravans in a Mad Magazine decades ago. I think the were a couple of grand. Asobo gave them for free? Cool!

Actually i think i read somewhere that the Caravan was bugged, Asobo left a line in the cfg called "Spoilerons=1".

I think it was advised to revert it back to 0 to get the full performance of the plane. Maybe it has beeen fixed by the different patches. I dont fly the Caravan 🙂

Not fixed yet then, maybe next week.  Easy enough to edit "Spoilerons=1" though I suppose. 👍
