October 30, 20205 yr Flew this afternoon from KORF to KSAV and the weather was just perfect. Both on the ground and in the air, Live weather did its job brilliantly and was spot on. Loaded the aircraft at KSAV few minutes ago and again, temp and pressure completely off on the ground... (only the wind was somehow correct) KSAV 302153Z 35006KT 10SM CLR 22/12 A3004 RMK AO2 SLP172 T02220117 MSFS: Honestly it's frustrating ... after 5 patches the weather is still a mess. The biggest problem is that I don't know the steps to reproduce the issue as it seems completely random... Edited October 30, 20205 yr by Jeeeno
October 31, 20205 yr I flew from Ft Worth, TX, today to Huntsville, AL, and I did not get accurate weather. Not even close. My source for live weather information (real world, not sim) is the FltPlan Go app for my iPad. Unfortunately that lack of accurate live weather extended to REX Weather Force as well. Neither default or RXP showed up with accurate infused weather here after the MFS update. REX page shows a planned release of an update either this evening or tomorrow. October 31, 20205 yr I agree. The pressure is almost always wrong. The cloud cover too, only the wind is sometimes close to the real one. Against my will I had to start using Unreal Weather for takeoffs and landings and live weather just for cruise. And I don't think this will ever be fixed unless they stop using Meteoblue, and they are not going to do that. October 31, 20205 yr Same here. Went to KBOS to test live weather and it was supposed to be snowing and windy.......nasty, and MSFS was depicting clear skies with a slight wind off the northeast. October 31, 20205 yr Today is the first time I've seen completely clear weather when the conditions were overcast with snow. This is the first time my weather has been completely blank. Other than a light west wind there was not a cloud in the sky. In real life it was total overcast with low ceilings. This was in Buffalo, so maybe something messed up in the northeast? I went down to Southern California and there were some clouds which seemed accurate. Definitely a major step back for me. This is the first time it was 100% wrong for me. ------------------------- Craig from KBUF

October 31, 20205 yr Yes live weather really is a mess right now, this is really my biggest issue with the sim right now. Looking at todays development update the issue is listed as "partially fixed" (I'd love to know what part was fixed) and the release status for a release is "backlog". To me that all points toward us not seeing this issue properly fixed anytime soon, which is quite disappointing. Sure tricked me! &^%%#$$%^^& Fortunately with the download manager I was able to get the update after a bit of extra effort. At the time I saw reference to the beta, but no link! Confusing. October 31, 20205 yr Live weather works for me. The pressure and sky is spot on since the update #5! You need to restart MSFS before a new flight is the only thing that I have found you need to do. Most of what is said on the Internet may be the same thing they shovel on the regular basis at the local barn.

ATIS altimeter reported at 29.92 along my entire three hour flight. Actual altimeter reports for the route started at 30.33 at Ft Worth, declining to 30.23 at Huntsville, AL. Wind direction and speed nowhere close to anything reported at the airports over the past two days. Active runways virtually opposite of real live conditions today. North Texas to north Alabama. Sim winds aloft @ 11,000 consistent along the route as from the south at 2 mph. NO variance. Actual winds aloft today @ 11,000 were from the north at 10 to 15 mph. Nothing was even in the ball park. That was live MFS weather. My REX weather was not yet updated to comply with the MFS release. I have this evening installed a REX update and will fly with it tomorrow. I do own it, and will likely use it more until the default weather is sorted out. My biggest issue with it is that it injects the same weather everywhere...but that's what I'll need to use for now to get accurate METARs. 29 minutes ago, Silicus said: Live weather works for me. I remember in early days europe seemed to have better luck than north america. Of the last five flights I've tried with the new patch (all in north america), 1/5 was somewhat close to real world weather. The rest were no where close and that's with restarting the sim before each flight.
