I don't see why else it would have been done this way. Anyway, I'm well off-topic now... OK. Thanks for clarifying. I will take back my statement based on your assumption, to be fair too. 😉 Regards, Marcus P.

I'm a dev (albeit not primarily a P3D dev, I just do that as a hobby) so I jumped to that conclusion. Either way we know he used a technique which was unusual in v4 and no longer works in v5 and for which there is currently no solution. A huge shame as it's a very good airport. I'm hoping for a UK2000 EGLC HD but that's based on the assumption that Gary Summons will re-do all his Xtreme airports as HD versions. November 18, 20205 yr Author As far as I am aware, Gary intends to develop HD versions of all of the UK2000 Xtreme airports that he has released in the past, but this will take several years! November 18, 20205 yr A new Paris CDG- Taxi2Gate don't seem to be very active on theirs.. A couple of good Bizjet Airports- Le Bourget, Biggin Hill, Farnborough. With the NGXu BBJ, these could be very fun airports FSLabs ACJ or EIS1- EIS1 will never happen but it's nice to speculate. ACJ would also be very fun Something like a Pilatus or TBM, these aircraft are really cool and can operate to fascinating airports, plus they are quite different. (For P3D might I add) Finally, it's a bit odd but something like a C130 or A400M. I think this would really connect the DCS and Miltary side of Flight Sim with the commercial side. Don't know for which platform though
November 18, 20205 yr T2G has been weird lately. They appear out of know here and then get quiet. They did say in their forum fairly recently that they would be updating everything and to expect an Indianapolis. Perhaps it would be more accurate to say that it will be more deeply modelled than the Quality Wings plane. I am hoping that all of the switches and dials will be modelled accurately, rather than some being "painted on" and non functional. I am also hoping that the autopilot will be considerably more robust. The Avro is in the works:http://disq.us/p/29q569r I believe the textures are for the 175/195 only. The 170/190 share many of them but not the exterior ones, of course. Actually, I did my own reduced resolution textures for the 170 (I haven't published them because I haven't asked FeelThere for permission, though I guess I could if people were interested). It helps with VRAM and responsiveness when switching between external and internal views, but it doesn't seem to do much for performance otherwise. It appears the aircraft model itself is somehow more demanding than average (I don't really understand aircraft models), and then all the gauges (and all of the systems) are in a single C++ .gau file and it's all or nothing, so I can't for example remove gauges I don't use, which is one of my usual tricks. Popping out the panels slows things down a bit further. Oddly, turning on the taxi light dropped the FPS on my client PC (I run a client/server system with Wideview), presumably because the taxi and landing lights are actually embedded in the gauge code and are not standard effects. They have a config tool where you can tweak the refresh rate of the glass panels and that is the most effective in improving performance, but then of course you get stuttering readouts. I just don't think they paid enough attention to performance when they were building it. If it were PMDG-level that would be one thing, but it isn't... I have done a bunch of tweaking which has made it flyable for me, and I'm happy to tell anyone who wants to know about that, but I keep derailing the thread... I do love talking about this stuff though! Great news on the AvroRJ front, and thanks to the others who PMd me to let me know this. November 18, 20205 yr A DC-10 would be so nice. The only DC-10 in existence is Just Flight DC-10 and I guess it doesn't work on P3D v5 at all... PC specs: i5-12400F, RTX 3070 Ti and 32 GB of RAM. Simulators I'm using: X-Plane 12, Microsoft Flight Simulator (2020) and FlightGear.

Justflight even went to see the plane in real life, might as well make it all feature complete and then can start competing in the study level sim market 🙂 How I Evaluate Third Party Sim Addon Developers Refined P3Dv5.0 HF2 Settings Part1 (has MaddogX) and older thread Part 2 (has PMDG 747)
