Sorry, but these are not the Top Mods for MSFS. They may be the top mods for the airliner guys out there.

I tried Luke Air Tool but didn’t like the fact that it sounded like the announcements were playing straight into my pilot headset. I suspect in real life most of that stuff is muffled and barely audible by the pilot as it needs to go through the cockpit/cabin door and the isolation of the pilots headset. I also didn’t like that they cannot be linked to phases of startup or flight to play automatically. In the end it’s not a very good immersion enhancement IMHO.

Top mods according to whom?

My top modifications are: 1. Working Title CJ4 Mod, the G3X and the G1X mods. Of course, there are many other great mods as well.

I've made a living at AVSIM finding daily gems. The simple fact that Rob's G36 Turbo mod is missing from this thread, makes this list bogus.

MSFS

I have nothing against these kinds of posts, but they should be prefaced with "according to me", or "based on my flying interests".

Wow. Only Avsim.

They are top mods due to being amongst the highest as to number of downloads on the various modding sites.

In the meanwhile, I think its kind of fascinating that somebody points to some cool free stuff, and so many replies instead want to delve into semantics?

Noted.

I blame it on Covid. Did you ever see several dozen rooster chicks raised inside a 12 foot by 12 foot pen and by circumstance the owner never got them into the freezer? At their age of 4 months, half of them have a severe feather loss. The best you can say for them, is that, they were fed all that time.

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-10700F CPU @ 2.90GHz (8 cores) Hyper on, Evga RTX 3060 12 Gig, 32 GB ram, Windows 11, P3D v6, and MSFS 2020 and a couple of SSD's

LOL! That sounds suitably horrific. 😁

Don't take it personally. There are so many quality mods being released for MSFS that it's a full time job to keep track of them.

Where I have an issue with this thread is that these are mods that are well know by those simmers who visit AVSIM daily.

Plus, you run the risk of offending some excellent mod creators when the post talks about the top mods and when many excellent mods have been omitted.

It's a valid point even if you disagree with it.

If that were the case for me, then I would simply move on. My assumption when posting something like this is that some, and even many might be aware, but that just as many, such as less frequent visitors and new members might not. I myself for example have been avoiding posting a bit in the last few weeks and read many less threads, partially due to negativity, and partly due to non-contentious issues so often somehow becoming contentious.

The post is simply using the same name as the actual video, which I've always thought is simple politeness to the videos creator, and also avoids the confusion of the same video being posted multiple times here under different names, which I hate because when I do a search to see if something is already posted, the search is made useless when, somebody has posted it, but under a different title. Then you find somebody helpfully linking to the "original" post, and a mod either deleting your post or merging it.

I find it kind of hard to imagine offended by something like that, (sounds kind of diva-ish to me, but whatever) however if I was offended, there would still be nothing stopping anyone from adding more information to this thread like @bendead did when mentioning NZA Simulations, or even starting their own thread.
