November 19, 20205 yr it is not perfectly fluid, although the 60 fps, I see stutters all the way long. Missing the PMDG DC6 in MSFS 2024 (she's here, but...).
November 19, 20205 yr They should've recorded the video with the dev mode fps overlay, it provides a lot more MSFS engine specific data and diagnostics... But I'm sure those are going to pop up soon enough on Youtube... My simming system: AMD Ryzen 5800X3D, 32GB RAM, RTX 4070 Ti Super 16GB, LG 38" 3840x1600

November 19, 20205 yr Looked pretty good in 1440p. Maybe i will get a 5700 XT to hold me over until next year. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 96GB DDR5 | 4K G-Sync | Win11 Pro
November 19, 20205 yr Looks attractive, but for now I'm happy with steady 30 FPS in every possible scenario with an i7 6700k, 2070 Super, and a 48" OLED 4k (running 3840x2160 @ 30 Hz; the desktop is a bit sluggish but MSFS2020 is silk smooth with vsync to 60).
November 19, 20205 yr Okay just ordered the 5700 XT. I have until January 31 to get a full refund if I don't like it. Can't hurt to see how this card works. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 96GB DDR5 | 4K G-Sync | Win11 Pro

November 19, 20205 yr Interesting benchmarks coming in too: https://www.overclock3d.net/reviews/gpu_displays/amd_radeon_rx_6800_and_rx_6800_xt_review/13

This is all I want. I am currently locked at 30fps / 30hz with MSFS Vsync set to 60, but running 1080p with a GTX 1080. Very smooth GA flying. I just want a card (Nvidia or AMD) that can give the same performance at 4k. But everything is sold out.

Yeah, I have seen the benchmarks and it is better but not a lot better. But I figure there is no risk and seeing how it works. I have until the end of January to get a full refund. On paper it looks like a 25% boost in performance, which would put me over the hump. We'll see! 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 96GB DDR5 | 4K G-Sync | Win11 Pro

You may be able to find a good deal on a used 2080ti...

I run a Ryzen 5 3600 and 5700XT, with 32gbs of ram. I have it on 1440P, with a widescreen monitor. Running mostly high settings, with a couple Ultra such as clouds. I get 36 FPS on a pretty typical VFR day. Can dip under 30 in heavy weather, heavy scenery areas. Certainly not ideal, I would consider it at a bare minimum. Any other games my system is very good at running 1440p. The strange this is my CPU only ever hits 40 percent usage MAX. The vid card is always 99 percent maxed out. No overclock or anything, I found it to unstable.
