AIG AI Manager OCI for MSFS – Development Announcement

Recommended Posts

Something is not working..

1- I install Aer Lingus Flightplans, and if i start at Gatwick ariport, for example, i see a lot of Aer Lingus, like Dublin.

2- I have Ai traffic turn off on the sim, and still appear the generic default traffic on the airports.

Two questions:

1. Do I set "use generic AI models" inside MSFS on or off?

2. Is the amount of AI traffic controlled via the MSFS slider or externally?

Thanks

1. Off

2. Both. A bit complicated to explain, I suggest you read the manual for the OCI. By default you can however just use the MSFS slider for a start

AI should be turned off, don't use the the in-sim slider. It's all handled by the Traffic Controller app

Make sure the Ground Aircraft Slider is set to 0.

I think you should post screenshots from all your MSFS traffic settings and the OCI settings and the TC settings. You clearly did something wrong at some point

I'm pretty sure the AI traffic slider in MSFS has to be set to 100%, if you don't change the OCI settings. Otherwise you will not get all of them.

EDIT: I think I got it wrong. Nevermind

Traffic is injected via the Traffic Controller app with MSFS. It doesn't use the in sim traffic controls.

Yeah I was still thinking in P3D-BGL-mode, I stand corrected.

EDIT: I'm stupid also, when AI is set to off you cannot set the AI slider, of course. My post was just pure nonsense.

Fantastic program. Works exactly as does for P3D. Just one observation, after updating and when I select P3D v5 as the simulator, I no longer have Image Tool Settings as described in the tutorial. All other settings have been migrated for P3D, except for Image Tool which is no longer an option in the AIGAIM-OCI settings. Any ideas? Regards.

1) Set to off as all the models/repaints have been downloaded by AIM. The AI-TC (AI Traffic Controller) will inject the AI traffic

2) Good question???

Yes - the in-sim settings are unclear. There are number of options not noted in the installer / pdf (and would rather change the settings in the sim that force through the external program):

On the Traffic Tab:

- Aviation Traffic -> Aircraft Traffic Type -> Off (also set AI Traffic Density to 0%)?

- Airport Life -> Ground Aircraft Density -> 0%?

- AI and Multiplayer Traffic Detail -> Use Generic Plane Models (AI Traffic) -> Off?

On the Data Tab:

- Live Real World Air Traffic -> Off (if using AIG flightplans)?

Also, what is the uninstallation routine? Concerned this may affect SU7, and would want to clear prior to release.

just move the "aig-aitraffic-oci-beta" folder out of the folder until compatibility is confirmed. No need to delete anything. Any fixes will be done through the AI Manager program.

But if you really want to uninstall, just delete that folder instead of moving it.

It is all in one single folder inside the MSFS community folder if I am not mistaken, so to disable AIG, moving this folder out should be sufficient. Sadly I did not find any way how to NOT install it directly into the community folder for my addon linker to be able to turn it on and off with a mouse click.
