So the changelog was from the previous update?

no sure but I remember (did not take a screen shot) that AP functionality for some a/c incl. neo was improved. And all I can say is that the vanilla neo just flew very good from LOWI to LFMN, followed flight plan on the spot, both, LNAV and VNAV, and just landed smooth and safely. well, now if I knew whether this is just perception or not.... tempted to do the same flight now in the 0.4.2 modded neo but I would expect that won't be fun, not because the FBW guys messed something in general but because of this mini update which may (unless asobo really just fixed the navaids) require some adjustments on the mod to bring it into sync again with the update

EDIT: alright, officially the update today was really just NAV data.... https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/small-update-navdata/331063

Nonetheless, restarting PC now to install FBW mod and see how that behaves, just too curious

AP in the classic 172 works incorrectly as previously, so no joy there.

Perhaps this was all part of someone's PhD dissertation experiment in social psychology. I can see the proposal now: "We'll make a change in the nav database that forces the download of a gigabyte of data and count how many systems the users perceive have been affected."

I'm really glad for this mini update finally my A320 is rocking its wings again like a retarded elk, totally missed that...

Turn off Selec1 when it starts rocking (above Captain) mind and turn it back on before landing, or your going to have a pretty respnsive A320 on landing lol

Finally!

Did they fix the terrain issues, added water masks, and removed the lighting bug?

None of it is fixed 😠

I thought my Navigraph Beta thingy did that.  are there 2 navdata databases.  I'm confused...

The sim has its own database. They don’t expect everyone to get their own.

Of course not, this wasn’t a patch, just a navdata update.

Since this mini patch I'm feeling much better.
Less stutters when I talk, less blurries when I watch ahead, and less stress in the CPU.

hmm, confused. the modded neo just flies as nice as the default one. captured flight plath just fine, no circling, banking or 360ies.... also, currently at FL200, no wobbling with SEC1 still on, just some shaking with winds 222/11. I just don't get why this title is to un-reproducable, this on/off mentality drives me crazy. well, let me see how the flight into LFMN continues.... just received clearance to FL320

What I see are developers who take pride in their product and when there are issues are quick and proactive to respond and fix them. Can't say this out some of the other devs out there.

Can someone then explain why we would pay for AIRAC cycle updates when they are "free" with the sim?  And why we would have a beta client from Navigraph to install these updates that are totally superfluous?  I ask because despite someone stating its an AIRAC update it doesn't make much sense that it would be given the third party providing these to date (Navigraph) doesn't seem to know their newest product has been made obsolete by Asobo / Microsoft.  I do recall there was a partnership with a nav data provider though so perhaps it is?  Anyone with more insight please share it.  I'm going to update my Navigraph beta client and see whats what.

Because some do not like the navBlue data (the MSFS provider) and prefer the Jeppesen ones (navigraph provider)...

here is the partnersip you're talking about

Oddly Navigraph has rolled back from 2013 to 2012 AIRAC due to CTD when choosing SIDs.  Not sure if that is relevant or not but it is since this latest mini-patch so maybe it is navdata.  That would be a helluva note for those folks.

Currently using the a320nx stable version and AP working perfectly. no rocking with all flight controls activated. seems the a320 at least is working as it should

This has been my contention from the start of flightsim forums.  Its all just one big psych experiment to use the flightsim microcosm as a study in human interaction. 🙂

We have it all here for the connoisseurs of psych experimentation and review. Hehe.

In fact I was quite sure that the relational properties of my breakfast cereal choice to the perceived fixes and updates to flightsim was in full force here....because the last time I had Cheerios®, the night lighting in the sim got better, and I can swear this morning, it seems to be better as well.   You can't convince me that is placebo or coincidence 🤣
