I love this little spelling error, people complaining of lighting write "lightning" and people complaining of "lightning" write "lighting". Something in the human brain that must trigger this...

Haha! You forget that "lightening" also gets thrown into the mix. Three different words with three totally different meanings - and they are absolutely NOT interchangeable. I despair!

In light of this issue, I do not wish to make light of the angst this causes when we lightheartedly make fun of this issue.  I do not take this lightly, and I hope that we'll all see these words in a different light when we can finally distinguish between them easily.

I hope we all see the light when this happens...and I think when we do, it'll hit us like lighting...or lightning, or lightening. 🤣

I hope this thread lights the way to a better understanding of the odd way the English language is structured.

alright, just firing up MSFS with default neo only and try the very same LOWI-LFMN flight again in a second few minutes, thanks also for the SEC1 video, may try that as well

EDIT so far all good. climbs nicely and after I enabled AP it smoothly turns towards FMS active leg and intercepts it nicely. right now FL180 as cleared by ATC and no rocking/banking at all...

something completely different: RWY26 at LOWI has quite a dip (again), during takeoff run the neo is literally thrown into the air like a catapult start. I do have ORBX LOWI installed. I know a workaround was before to manually delete Asobo's LOWI scenery but I would expect that I am not required to manually interfere with any /official files...

The update has nothing to performance or Autopilot fix, is an update to the Navdata cycle, here is the post from the MSFS mods:

Hi everyone, this small update corresponds to the AIRAC cycle being updated with new navdata (Cycle 13)

This was an AIRAC update according to what I have read from a community manager.  I love reading the speculation and perceptions after loading it though.  Some saw FPS increases, others got a ctd, one saw the image of “*******” in a piece of toast...

Me too...and I hope that everyone knows that as much as I "seem" to "complain" about MSFS...I love the sim, everything they've done so far, and wait patiently for every update to make it that much better.

I just like my paid addon's not CTD my sim when I go touching things in the cockpit....that should be something both CA and MS should be working together on closely, and at least providing us updates on what's the delay in fixing it.   Most of us here have had it for a long time, and got much enjoyment out of it when it was working...but imagine those who've bought it the last few weeks...and have not even been able to enjoy it at all (without the risk of a CTD looming if you touch something in the cockpit)....I agree with others that the product should be taken off the marketplace until its fixed.  It's completely unfair that they continue to make money off it from unsuspecting customers who think all is well with the plane...assuming that if its in an official Microsoft® product, in their official marketplace, then it must be working correctly, right?  //rant off. 🙂

It seems the Apple never falls very far from the tree, no matter which sim. Duh.
