December 6, 20205 yr Hey guys, i am thinking about getting me one of the Bae’s. I didn’t really know a lot about Just flights BAE and Qualitywings one. Can Someone give me some pro and cons? And does Just flight gonna bring an Avro update with the glass cockpit? Best regards, Andre Andre Frisch, EASA CPL (A) MEP/SEP IR, MCC, JOC, ATPL Theory Credit
December 7, 20205 yr QW's 146 is only $19.95 US, if cost is any part of your consideration. Forever indebted to the late Michael Greenblatt of FSGS.
December 7, 20205 yr I had great time with QW's 146/RJ back to FS9 days. but not now on P3Dv4 anymore...
December 7, 20205 yr The Just Flight one is new and shiny, however it has a couple of issues. That said; they've been quick to release patches and are on the fourth patch since launch just some weeks(?) ago. It feels quite steep at the asking price, however you get several variants and it has the potential to give you hours and hours of fun! Now, if I just could get OnAir to recognise it... December 7, 20205 yr I still consider QW‘s 146 as a very attractive package, even more if you consider the price. It offers all variants of Bae and Avro, has a decent FMS with Navigraph support and still looks great in P3D. I particularly like the atmosphere of the (slightly aged) cockpit in VR. I have enjoyed this aircraft since FSX and still use it frequently. December 7, 20205 yr Did one install the QW 146 in P3D5.1? I didn't try yet, so I wonder, if it runs fine. Dan OS=WIN11 Home, Sim=P3D5 5.3 (P3D4 and FSX for install reasons) Addons=ORBX, ASCA, AS, TOGA and tons of sceneries, aircraft MB=Gigabyte AORUS Z790 Elite AX, CPU=i13900K, Cooling=Be quiet! December 7, 20205 yr I wonder why QW do not update 146 to modern standard by adding windshield rain effect, make some new PBR liveries, clearing some remained bugs - this is great bird but frozen in time ... Artur
December 7, 20205 yr I had the same thoughts here. The initial QW package is pre p3d and 10 years old (!). And sadly it isn't running in v5. I don't think that it is feasible or even worth monetary wise for QW to update it to latest standards. Even think about the reaction if they would do and then request for a way higher price again. People nowadays seem to think that there should be a discount on everything 😉 End of story short, if you are on v4.X get the QW. But me on v5 in the end thats why I happily jumped on the JF BAe package day one and hopefully the RJ extension later. Its still showing some some minor bugs that seem to be sadly the standard nowadays on new releases. The Universal FMC is on a good way, basics are (partly) working but still need to be fixed/enhanced. JF is currently working on this in the back and openly listening to user reports and requests. So I have high hopes on the overall package... Cheers Thorsten
December 7, 20205 yr Author Thank you very much for you're replies! Does anyone know, if JF wants to create the Avros as a addon or smth? Cheers, Andre Andre Frisch, EASA CPL (A) MEP/SEP IR, MCC, JOC, ATPL Theory Credit
December 7, 20205 yr Yes, JF is working on the Avros as an addon package to the base 146 package afaik. In the JF forum for the BAe package are some previews of the "glass" cockpit of the Avros. But no timeline given... Cheers T.

I have both Qualitywings and Justflight. Qualitywings is nice, but really shows its age now regarding visuals. Also the system depth is limited. The Justflight BAe146s are quite new, so it still has issues as expected. They are very quick to sort out issues though, and additionally they are very responsive regarding suggestions, which is quite nice. Be prepared though for some workarounds to get a flight currently turn out smoothly. I can't stop flying the Justflight BAe146, they really managed to make it an immersive experience. It appears to be made with a lot of passion and dedication, that makes it really worth the price. Mike Edited December 7, 20205 yr by mikealpha 1.
