I use an old Thrustmaster HOTAS and it works out of the box without fiddling with any of the advanced settings. I know I am at the edge of getting on everybody's nerves but I just do my forth flight with the ...cfbw.zip master from Barcelona to Aerosofts EDLP and guess what, it works like a charme. currently at FL390 near Strasbourg and the neo behaves just great. no wobbling or banking with winds 193/24. December 8, 20205 yr I´m still a bit confused that if I start to use this, I miss the new and fresh development version. Just noticed that now they have fixed the invisible icing issue.... Could the team implement this custom version into the development version? Although it is not perfect but apparently very very good. Tapani Österberg

As I am using FSUIPC for my controller settings, I am just curious to knopw, how you and Phil have set the throttles in FS2020's settings. I had a quick gander and didn't see a possibility to have my TM Hotas control both engines, both in forward thrust as in reverse thrust. I asked to send me a PM as not to deviate from the subject of this thread 🙂 Kind regards, Hans van WIjhe Acer Predator P03-640 2.10 Ghz Intel 12th Gen Core 17-12700F 64GB memory, Noctua NH-U9S Cooler, 1.02 TB SSD HD, 1.02 TB HD, NVidia Geforce RTX 3070 16GB Memory, Windows 11 (x64)

Can you send me a picture of how you assigned your throttle in FS2020 settings? I have no idea how to get the throttle to work on both engines in fwd and reverse thrust. (FYI, I am currently using FSUIPC for my controller settings and that is working fine, I am just curious to know how to configure the throttles in FS2020 as I might want to switch from FSUIPC to native FS2020 settings). Well I did not assign them, MSFS did, I move the throttle and both engine throttles move simultaneously. Will try and get a screenie of the MSFS assgned settings in a second. Initially FS2020 assigned mine as well, too, but when I installed FSUIPC i erased these controller settings in Options and assigned them in FSUIPC. I just cannot remember which settings FS2020 by default used for the throttle. Yes, a screenie would be highly appreciated. Thanks. I hardly find time to fly and can only imagine what it takes to actually program something as complex as an aircraft system. now to the AP vs FBW discussion: I understand that FBW does in no way affect AP. However... the last first flights with the new FBW mod were sooo smooth also from an AP perspective that you must have done something right. As mentioned before, it captures flight plan safe and smooth, no zig zagging anymore and heavy turns or overshooting, also no nose diving right after takeoff, no banking at all, managed alt mode works... hopefully that isn’t really a placebo but two flights in a row worked just great. Thanks for that! Cheers, DAD What could have an influence is the following: in order to implement a custom fly-by-wire we needed to deactivate the default fly_by_wire and also the stall_protection (both in the flight_model.cfg) which maybe is the reason the FD is not working without AP. The default fly-by-wire kicks always in somehow, even when we capture and mask all input events. So I assume it‘s also active when AP is working. Now we disabled it...so it has maybe also an impact on the AP, in that case a positive as it seems :-).

Did not hurt too much as it forced me to handfly the neo and always landed smoothly (2) I get some "Terrain" callouts on final though properly configured for landing (full flaps and gear down), did not have/hear them before Phil Leaven i5 10600KF, 32 GB 3200 RAM, ASUS 4070 12GB EVO, Asus ROG Z490-H, 2 WD Black NVME for each Win11 (500GB) and MSFS (1TB), Rolling Cache 16GB, Photogrammetry always OFF, Live Weather and Live Traffic always ON, Res 2560x1440 on 27"

With some 3rd party airports it works (eg fsdreamteam), but with most it doesn‘t. A work around is dialling in the frequencies manually in the MCDU. i9-11900K, RTX 4090, 32 GB ram, Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo, TCA Airbus sidestick and quadrant, Reverb G2
