Traffic Global Reviews

Featured Replies

Ok, so finally, after centuries, they have released a "release" version of Traffic Global for v5. For those who own it, please tell me how is it going so far? For the risk of not setting off the hornet's nest, please don't comment about how other applications are better than Traffic Global. Thank you.

It might have been the longest early access on the planet, but it does work okay now.

Yup, the longest prologue in history. 🤣

Still don't like it.  It's a pain in the @$$.  It adds BGL files and conflicts with other add-on scenery.  Really confuses GSX.

For people who want a easy to setup realistic ATC and AI environment: it works really well together with VoxATC! As VoxATC is the only atc program which generates its own! traffic from BGL files, it is a great offline experience in combination with Traffic Global.

I am not planning to reinstall TG again (just had such a bad experience with the early access product), so I cannot comment on the current version. Back then, one of the worst things about TG was that there was hardly any traffic outside the UK and away from major airports. To those who use it: has this been fixed in the current version?

Peter

Traffic Global works fine for me. As long as I see traffic at airports, I don't pay much attention to occasional airlines at airports they shouldn't be at. That said, it is easy to use and does the job.

Yep, that is another show stopper. It affects anything that needs accurate information about the location of ramps and gates. GSX, FSCaptain, Aivlasoft EFB, ...

It works alright but it's really not very good. It also really depends on what you want from your AI. If you just want to populate the skies with traffic that mostly isn't based off of real scheds with limited model variety and liveries then maybe it's for you. The plans are still horrible (every aircraft does the exact same 1 return flight a day 7 days a week) and lacking so many carriers. Go to any major NA airport and it's almost completely void of international traffic. There's really too much wrong still to try and explain. I install every new version that gets released just to see for myself but it has yet to do anything to impress me. Spoiled from years of good freeware I guess.
