The reason talked of DCS was the way the ship was unstable in the sea and it just too difficult to get the heli to land which i have tried in XP is not the case.

Well just yesterday I tried to land on a ship , weather was stormy but the ship was stable ?  I have not said that the helicopter flight model is bad , I love XP for helis and I consider it on the level of DCS.

Did you even look at the youtube video I posted? 🙄

No I didn't , sorry was working,  had tried it just yesterday in a stormy weather.

But yes  will look at it now. !

Ok watched it now. !

But it doesn't work for me that way.

thanks for the link , I will retry and see if that happens for me will post the findings later.

I do remember the float planes had some effect from the water but that again many months ago when i had used the J3 Cub with floats and flying around . I don't usually do ship landings except just a few times , but after watching that video i do have some ships that i want to land on  ,the DCS thing was just way giving an example what would make it more fun and competitive.

Make sure that you set the "wave height" appropriately in the weather menu. It doesn´t automatically increase wave height in high wind conditions (it used to), because users complained about the ships swaying too much and they couldn´t figure out how to stop that 🙄.

destroying MSFS in every other category.

I think we are going round in circles. I am happy for you in that you regard X-Planes graphics as better than those of MS2020. There's no need to keep posting screen shots.

@mSparks, can you please explain what the two lines of text represent in this post?

https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/594761-x-plane-users-surpass-microsoft-flight-simulator/?do=findComment&comment=4467891

They cannot be selected for quoting and look as though they could be registration keys.

Sounds like

doesn't like me hot linking its two images?

I assume its not my imgur screenshot that broke?

Id didnt say better, I said competitive.

In some regards xplane looks better (has vital VFR navigation elements in the scenery, lighting is "OK" but is acknowledged needs more love, excellent LOD at long view distances).

In some regards MSFS looks better (2000 feet agl looks pretty much perfect a lot of the time, decent implementation of last gen global illumination, whole teams of highly experienced dedicated artists built the fuselages and cockpits of default aircraft with modern 3D design tools)

In some regards they are the same (Ortho at 20000 feet AGL looks like google maps)

If we are talking "gaming" neither of them come close to the fun or graphics of the very very last gen (May 2016)

But I can't play BF4 any more, because its 2D, and I can't fly 2D anymore.

Those two blocks of text were not links to images but to a payware product you’re saying. You’ve been around long enough to know what is a valid link is. They look very much like registration codes used to install a product.

I need a fuller explanation please.

go back to my post after you've been to that page, it'll probably look the same to you as me now you have them in your cache.

Otherwise I don't know what "looks like registration keys" you are referring to.

I'm guessing it didn't like opening the images from that page? I just right clicked->copy image address and pasted them into the page.

EDIT:

yeah

opening in an porn tab gets me

In about 2 or 3 years every imgur image will likely break in a similar way.

Is the $33 for the VSkyLabs R44, thats less than it costs to warm up the engine in the real one.

You cant even fly a helo in MSFS and if you could you probably still couldn't open the doors,

also no one seems willing to take a screenshot from here to back up the claims the default scenery is even half as good as it is in that screenshot.

Yep, XP2021 will be even better, but its simply wrong to say XP11 isn't competitive in graphics, while, along with FSX, destroying MSFS in every other category.

and lets not dare mention the freware b58 with actually functional g1000 I've been taking for some spins lately (all in VR at 60fps of course)

The big "VSKyLabs" stamp in the top left of the images should also provide a hint 😛

No worries, Its a great version, I've logged about 25 hours in it in the last week, tuning my control settings and curves, graphics options, getting things as close to the real one as I can,

Then I hit this bug (filed yesterday)

And cried a lot into my Caramel Latte.
