Yay! Now on to the next one 😁😁👍

That's because STEAM is a GAME PLATFORM...

If you check from APFSP you'll see MFS way ahead ...

Hey ( shhhh, Murmur... ) Anyway... you're comparing XP11 to FSX, not MFS 😎 which is Zillions ahead in user base... Even Austin got so adicted playing it that there's been no time for experimental FM updates...

first let me say Jai Hind.

What I feel that fsx is giving tough competition is mostly got to do with the investment made for the addons , 95% of that base surely would be PMDG etc..

XP has caught up no doubt but i think all want a PMDG in it which i do not think will ever happen. Also the Steam version is very cheap

Woo Hoo!!!!!!! Good news,  clap clap clap.Grazia[thanks Murmur]Buon vuolo[HAPPY FLYING].

That's great news. Finally the simmer master race has prevailed over the game peasants. On their own territory even, since we are talking about Steam!1!!

PMDG in the past said that XPlane wasn't capable of supporting what they wanted to do with their 747. They dipped their toes in with their DC-6, but then they stated that about their 747 when people asked if it meant they'd be doing more stuff for XPlane.

Of course they might be regretting that at least a little bit since the lack of an SDK has effectively put the brakes on their MSFS development ambitions for a long time now, and any barriers they perceived toward putting their 747 into XPlane probably look like a piece of cake now in comparison to the efforts they'll have to go to, to get it into MSFS when they eventually are in a position to have a stab at it.

Well, right now MSFS is bested by 139 other games, X-Plane by 261 other games:

https://steamcharts.com/top

...so its not like either MSFS or X-Plane is going to conquer the throne anytime soon 😉

I do not think they ever will, the most profit in the gaming industry comes from FPS / AAA etc.. and other type of games. Flight simulator is just too small, I am not sure but even the racing sims might just be ahead.

So XP struggles to beat FSX Steam Edition and Murmur and Janov are celebrating that.  Quite unbelievable really 🤭

More like:

5-years old, end-of-life-cycle, non-advertised, hardcore-targeted flight sim has 30% (and increasing) of users compared to brand-new, next-gen, multi-million-advertised, mass-oriented flight sim. Not bad I'd say, especially in the face of all those proclaiming "X-Plane is deaddddd!!!1!".

Suck it up Greazer! 🤣
