But you said installation is a really fast process and you made ISO backups, I guess just in case. And you seemed quite excited and reported MFS was "ASTOUNDING". February 7, 20215 yr Well, well, well. XP fanboi admits to Astounding MFS. How many more using MFS users here? My bet a lot. Edited February 7, 20215 yr by Greazer http://youtube.com/c/Greazer

No one said MSFS looks bad. Truly objective people admit MSFS looks “astounding”. But that’s where the praise ends. It’s eye candy. Gorgeous eye candy at that. Everything else? Meh. And if there really are MSFS users here, they’re either a fan of X-Plane or they’re intimidated by X-Plane and want to see it fail. All others stay with the group they’re interested in. February 7, 20215 yr Paying customers will decide which sim is going to be the future and invest mainly into that. Five years from now MFS will likely have a much improved everything: flight model, VR, replay, heli's, scenery, effects, ATC etc. It will also have 10,000+ payware addons and thousands more freeware addons. That's what XP will have to compete with. http://youtube.com/c/Greazer

Its a much more interesting dynamic than that. if the FSX guys actually rated looks they would have abandoned FSX a very long time ago, there have been 3 or 4 simulators out for a long while now that destroy FSX in the looks department. They just weren't looking. Then Microsoft spent enough money to buy themselves a large Island to convince people to leave FSX. Then all that advertising went on This is where all that "Laminar have done nothing" for ten years garbage came from, the truth of the matter was its been 10 years or more since they looked for a new flight simulator. FSX is a superior flight sim in every way except looks to MSFS, XPlane is a superior flight sim in every way to FSX, and is competitive even now with MSFS in looks ...... the outcome of that was fairly inevitable. February 8, 20215 yr If it wasnt for XPLANE id still be flying FSX. The thing is MS abandoned it and the users as they do when it is not making them money, and so developers went around fixing it. Was quiet enjoyable the time I went to XPLANE Edited February 8, 20215 yr by mjrhealth

I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder.😀 The trouble is you have so spend a small fortune on OrbX, additional drives for orthos, weather and cloud addons etc etc to get small pin pricks on the earth to look half decent and current in XP. And having done so, especially with volumetric clouds, performance plummets to the unbearable. I am hoping that XP12 will bring big improvements to the visuals ( (and performance) even though some dismiss it as "eye candy". The main advances in computer gaming over the last 30 years have all been mainly about more eye candy. Flight sims are no different.

Only money spent on this screenshot, with volumetric clouds https://www.vskylabs.com/vsl-robinson-r44 Is the $33 for the VSkyLabs R44, thats less than it costs to warm up the engine in the real one. You cant even fly a helo in MSFS and if you could you probably still couldn't open the doors, also no one seems willing to take a screenshot from here to back up the claims the default scenery is even half as good as it is in that screenshot. Yep, XP2021 will be even better, but its simply wrong to say XP11 isn't competitive in graphics, while, along with FSX, destroying MSFS in every other category. and lets not dare mention the freware b58 with actually functional g1000 I've been taking for some spins lately (all in VR at 60fps of course) AutoATC Developer
