Ortho4xp can only be used in special areas in moderation, due to the excessive data. Latest public version maxes out at zoom level 18 whereas MFS streams 19. Also, the textures are not color corrected, often have embedded clouds and the overlay buildings are stock. Yet you say MFS "catches up" 🤭 http://youtube.com/c/Greazer

Yet you say MFS "catches up" 🤭 And X-Plane STILL has an audience that is making Austin millions. Either X-Plane has enough to maintain serious competition against MSFS, or MSFS is just...really bad. Honestly, who cares? Fly whichever is fun. Edited February 8, 20215 yr by GoranM

Good job! Nah. I just know how to use Google. https://steamspy.com/app/269950 (See how I posted a link to back up my statements? Something everyone else who makes claims should do.) February 9, 20215 yr Ok so you have done all the accounts and company reports and profit and loss statements based on a one page steamspy page 🤭 http://youtube.com/c/Greazer
February 9, 20215 yr Commercial Member Absolutely! How are those 10000+ add ons within 5 years for MSFS coming? What's the tally at now? Edited February 9, 20215 yr by GoranM Had to change the number of add ons. I thought 5000 was outrageous enough.

February 9, 20215 yr Commercial Member 1 new 737 Max? 1 whole new add on?? Now that's an accomplishment! Only 9 999+ to go in less than 5 years. Got a link so I can see this marvellous creation. I'm assuming the actually functioning buttons and switches outnumber the INOP buttons and switches. No. I'm HOPING they do.

Yet you say MFS "catches up" 🤭 FSX has neither, and even then still better than MSFS. I'm not actually a fan at all of the very high res ortho, texture size is a complete waste of VRAM I'd rather go on the aircraft, it only really looks any good in the cities where you can't see it anyway, and at that LOD it should all be 3D anyway, perhaps not so noticeable if you are flying 2D, but looks absolutely horrific in 3D, like the world was run over by a steam roller. It seems to me that you are not at all enjoying MFS else you wouldn't lurking in the XP forums all day long. This whole argument arose because from the the release of MS2020 the x-plane cult loyalists and those with a financial vested interest launched an unrelenting and astonishing series of slanders and attacks against the new sim and its users. I guess out of fear for the future of XP. Everything from its just eye candy, it's not a serious flight sim, MS would pull the plug, it's bugged beyond repair and the users were just low life gamers etc etc. And it's still going on. I enjoy both sims and acknowledge what each has to offer and I recognise the step forward MS2020 has provided. When I see some of the ridiculous attempts to trash a perfectly enjoyable new product and to belittle those who use it I get an uncontrollable urge to respond in kind.😀 Edited February 9, 20215 yr by jarmstro

No. You will find many very objective opinions in here about both sims, with an obvious preference towards X-Plane. Which is obvious, considering it's an X-Plane group. But even Tony made mention of the fact if we go to the MSFS forums, they'll be ready with their pitchforks. The mere mention of X-Plane in a positive light in ANY MSFS forum will be met with "TROLL", get out of here if you don't like MSFS", "Go back to your own forums if you like X-Plane", "Stop being so toxic to MSFS", etc... ad nauseum. Don't kid yourself, @jarmstro. The toxicity towards the X-Plane community is far more prevalent than the other way around. And I won't even mention what reddit users call the X-Plane community. I've seen one comment saying, "You'll never convince me that X-Plane has better flight dynamics", while X-Plane users have unanimously said that MSFS scenery is far better than X-Plane's scenery. Just going to add something to your addition of trashing an enjoyable product. Let me remind you of something. I remember, not even a day after the announcement of MSFS, the fans of MSFS coming out of the woodwork posting things like, "I feel sorry for Austin!', "RIP X-Plane", "Finally a sim that doesn't need add ons", "Austin is going to need a psychiatrist". This is before ANYONE in X-Plane said anything. THEN, the majority of comments from the X-Plane community was, "This looks good", "I might at least try the $1/mth game pass", and even developers started thinking about trying it out. But THEN the real problems started once released. No seasons. the INOP buttons. Buggy autopilot, etc... Edited February 9, 20215 yr by GoranM
