Hello! Is it me or my ground textures looks VERY bad/blurry from 21,000ft?

Most of my settings are HIGH/ULTRA.

Known (issue?) in MSFS, especially noticeable if you're coming from XP11 with Ortho.

Could it be poor air quality or water vapor?   Certainly when you're looking from 21,000' if there is marginal visibility it seems like that is what it's going to look like.

The first one looks like it's zoomed in.

From what I can see on the first picture, the trees are sharp, not the ground and it's zoomed a bit.

On the second one, the sharpness is good 20-30km around the plane nadir.

I have similar results, we really need a slider in the option menu to load a higher or lower resolution at the same flight altitude, could be a good idea to post something on requested features on MSFS forum.

But keep in mind everytime we up the zoom by 1 we multiply the data by 4.

PS : Also try to set internet bandwidth to no limit and check your speed using speedtest.com

I also noticed patches or certain areas with blurry ground textures as well with my recent flight in Japan.

I seems to have fixed this by going to the Xbox Networking. It will run a quick test and your NAT Type will be closed. Click on fix it and boom! Note that you have to do this each time you restart.

If this is confirmed, it should be added to the Tips&Tricks Forum!

I’ve seen this mentioned countless times over at the main forums, and the main consensus is that it doesn’t actually do anything at all...

So it is another placebo tweak.
