So the "whats broke" doomthread turned into a "This is Awesome" thread pretty quickly!

So far it seems to me that MS did a pretty nice job which was worth the wait. Fingers crossed

yes so i started rex 20 minutes into flight and it all froze right away

Did you try uninstalling it and reinstalling?  Somehow it has to "hook" in to MSFS and the update may have cleared the hooks.

I was going to post and say nothing had changed until I stumbled upon the 5GB World Update III itself by chance in the marketplace.

1GB MS Store update, 24GB update on opening the game and then another update from the marketplace even after all that. Any others I've missed? 😅

Wait for the hotfixes

Cheers, Ed

For Rex weather I think they usually have to push an update for compatibility with a new version?

Friday Harbor (KFHR) which has been added with World Update II has now small issues after today update: Some of the blue taxi/runway lights are now placed in the middle of the taxi ways. Should not happen with an internal HQ airport. I wonder why an update for Europe could cause this. Or could it be because of new navdata?

I noticed same thing with FSDT Keywest. There are taxi lights all over the grass

I know it's a 3rd airport but seems odd this update would seem to cause this

Some reports coming in of screen tearing for the first time which is strange, as Vsync was always kind of forced on in MSFS up  to now.  I certainly never had any screen tearing since day one.
Also some reports of Southampton and Portsmouth losing their photogrammetry.  These were the only two cities in the UK with it previously.

Waiting to see if they are both due to 'operator error' or needing a reset etc.

Call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind, but I prefer Rob.

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

I'm one of those suffering with tearing. Never had it prior to the update and regardless of Vsync or Gsync on or off, the only thing I can find that clears it up is running in windowed mode.
