March 5, 20215 yr She is a great net positive to the Flightsim community and not just some attention seeker. Now lets get the developers to produce a Q400 for the sim so she and others qualified pilots can showcase and teach this quality aeroplane. Edited March 5, 20215 yr by jbdbow1970

EDIT : Oh yeah forgot Bombardier sold it. Edited March 5, 20215 yr by Glenn Fitzpatrick
March 5, 20215 yr Author I'm hoping the SDK gets into good enough shape that Majestic puts development into high gear. It would be great if Kroswynd and her get together for feedback during development. Chris Edited March 5, 20215 yr by ctalpas
March 5, 20215 yr Hadn't she either just started flying the aircraft or got promoted right before Covid-19 took it's toll? I thought I saw that on here YT channel months ago? "Coffee, if your not shaking, you need another cup" Flight Sim Break Discord Channel: https://discord.com/invite/fCV62Ka2QZ

I thought I saw that on here YT channel months ago? Her early YouTube videos were flying as a co-pilot in an earlier version of the Dash 8 (one of the ones with the two big trim wheels) for the UN in the Democratic Republic of the Congo in Central Africa back in 2017. So she has been flying Dash 8s of some variety or other for 4 or 5 years at least. ( It is worth noting that commonly the co-pilot actually does the en route flying and any stick and rudder landings in these sort of planes). I think you are correct that she was just promoted to Captain a few months before Covid hit so truly awful timing for her in terms of logging left seat hours in the Q400. March 5, 20215 yr Majestic was the best plane in any SIM I ever tried out of about 50 payware planes, but I didn't own all the high-end stuff (Too many). It was the most entertaining and I loved the clean and simplistic look of the cockpit. However, I do sometimes wonder if the plane was sort of engineered poorly from a safety perspective when it comes to real-world landings, as to have such a quick "physics drop" on purpose and to be a dangerous lander. I found the plane incredibly hard to fly even though it was the most fun I ever had in a sim from a flying standpoint. March 5, 20215 yr I've enjoyed her a few times but I don't really have enough spare time to get as much of her as I would like. She is worth watching in my view and I'm sure she will be back in the skies again before too long. March 6, 20215 yr I've had great fun on her group flights. Been a subscriber for a long time and was excited to see her try MSFS although not under ideal circumstances. But she has picked up flight simming really fast and has a lot to offer. Great to see someone with a positive outlook with whatever is thrown her way. Is it done yet? When will it be released? Will it be freeware or payware? How much will it cost? Any updates on the progress? Will it work for Xbox? Can I be a beta tester? How's the performance in VR?
March 6, 20215 yr I have a feeling she might be doing some more streams for Asobo/MS, besides the upcoming one, until she returns to flying in real life. Watched her Stream for the MP and she just grabbed the TBM 930 and had never flown it before. She also got a kick out of the 747's that were buzzing her, and enjoyed everyone was having a good time. My point is, see, even real world pilots can have FUN in a simulator, in MP with other people. I found it refreshing actually. Think she mentioned they all need to jump in the Boeing 747 during one of the MP event, just to get a kick out of it. Hope 2021 and beyond will find the airline industry getting back on track? As well as local and long distance vehicle travel. After all this, people are gonna want to get the heck out of the house and travel safely, I hope! BTW, in her video of the FULL flight below is she adjusting the Trim wheel with her left hand often? And also isn't there a Trim Switch on the Yoke. Amazing to me how much real pilots have to move the Yoke so much when landing. Constant adjustments and I have seen in larger passenger jets also. I guess it's true on GA aircraft too. Just interesting to me. It's this video I am talking about from a few years ago I think? It's basically an old video she narrates, and mentions she is still not back at work. Think it is late 2020 video. Edited March 6, 20215 yr by in2tech "Coffee, if your not shaking, you need another cup" Flight Sim Break Discord Channel: https://discord.com/invite/fCV62Ka2QZ
March 6, 20215 yr My airline has a strict no-go policy with anything from inside the aircraft getting published - unless endorsed beforehand. This includes posting about yourself being an airline employee, even while "in the hotel" or "during layover". When I went to my sons 3rd grade class and talked about being a pilot - I had to get clearance for that beforehand. However this only recently started to get enforced - I feel that it took them a few years to really notice and catch up on social media and it´s impact (positive and negative). I think with the success and social acceptance of smartphones and taking pictures/videos EVERYWHERE it is virtually impossible to really completely eliminate that. We have a rule of not being allowed to use smartphones while on the plane, but if I would really enforce that during turnarounds on the ground I would have to get a new crew for every leg. To everyone under 50 that would be like saying: "If I catch you breathing, I will exempt you from the next flight!". Of course - a pretty lady sitting in a cockpit already takes us flight sim nerds 95% of the way. She could be talking about cookie recipies and instead of 120.000 subscribers she would have 119.999 (the one guy not phantasizing about having a beautiful pilot girlfriend left). Yeah, I am sure there are lots of pilots that lost their jobs. And even after the crisis, I am not sure aviation industry will be as strong as before. Some companies will probably use it as excuse to shrink, others count in the latent risk of mutations whatsoever... Happy with MSFS 🙂 home simming evolved

But unlike you, I don´t really have my hopes up for that. And if we ever really get past the lure of the attractive opposite gender - good! We will die out then, which is just better for the planet we live on 🤣. That being said - some people are naive, but if you look at the content that young women post on the social platforms these days (my daughter LOVES tick-tock clips) I don´t think they mind using their physical appearance to attract attention. If you doubt me - just google "youtube girl flies aircraft" and see what comes up. Judging by the average attire, all these emancipated ladies must be flying in really warm cockpits! As long as women fuel this, I don´t see us men getting past it.

However, it is not a issue of a type of "thinking"....rather how the entire planet of sentient beings is coded to be naturally attracted to the opposite gender. To believe that she has over 120 thousand subs on youtube in the short time she's been there (contrast to Chewwy94...the hugely popular youtube/twitch streamer who's been a simming staple for almost a decade with a mere 42k subs) has nothing to do with her looks...would be ignoring the obvious. (not saying Chewwy is bad looking, but the plain truth is that he is the wrong gender to attract the masses of young male simmers who undoubtedly make up the majority of Emilie's fans). One only has to view this news article to draw their own logical conclusions:Warning-its the Dailymail UK site, will have a lot of "click here for amazing stories"....just view the pics to form your opinion as to why she has become so popular to prepubescent male teens Personally, I very much enjoy her content, she is a REAL commercial pilot, has a fantastic personality, and an easy voice to listen to. These attributes alone would be enough to engage me as a viewer if she is posting about anything aviation-related. However, you simply cannot ignore that she could be considered extremely physically attractive, and the pictures in the link above leave no doubt in that respect. Humans naturally gravitate to physically attractive people...this is based solely on my first sentence in this post. Another perfect example...go watch the 1st time Susan Boyle appeared on Britain's Got Talent. I dare you to tell me that Simon was not put off by her looks, and instantly (and purely instinctively) wrote her off as a joke-contestant. Then she started singing. If Pilot Emily looked like Susan Boyle, but was a REAL commercial pilot, has a fantastic personality, easy voice to listen to...sadly her subscriber count would probably not even break a thousand. This is the sad fact of life, but is undeniable. To think otherwise, one would be just fooling themselves. This is the entire reason anyone on this planet has ever heard of the Kardy-girls. (The Kardashians for anyone still living under a rock) 🤣 And the reason the multi-trillion dollar fashion and beauty industries exist.
