For your sake I really hope so but I somehow doubt it. The vast majority get no CTD’s. This mean’s the issue is likely on your side and no update pushed to the entire world can address an individual PC’s problems.

You are right, this probably won't be addressed because they haven't mentioned it - but they certainly know about it!

There is a stack of evidence building on the official MSFS forums that shows the opposite to what you say, especially after the last update.  Even I have started having CTD's now, when I was CTD free for ages.  All these computers don't suddenly go bad.  And most people, like me, empty the community folder straight away to test again.  Believe me, you would as well if you went through the same frustration.

So it may be related to where you fly (this has happened before with Iceland for one example, an immediate CTD that got fixed by Asobo later on), or in may be due to peoples different in sim settings, but to say 'the issue is likely on your side and no update pushed to the entire world can address an individual PC’s problems' is a really crass statement to make when people are having a hard time with problems they never had before.

Then we have the Czechia and Slovakia regions, where people have constant problems, and of course the instant CTD's with payware airports we had the other month (apparently some server issue that they fixed after a few days, but still didn't explain properly what happened).  Asobo are not beyond introducing the odd bug, as we all know.    They make back-end and front-end changes that they do not always inform us about.  They are constantly fiddling with things like the antialiasing, and they never mention it in the patch notes.

Due to this, my trust is slowly ebbing away, and whether it is right or not, as soon as I start having problems with my PC after an update, and I definitely haven't changed anything, it is natural for me to think, 'what have they done now?'.

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

If they've not fixed the XCub Rain effects on the windshield I'm gonna go ballistic, that's the most basic Testing requirement for Paid/Default content is to check that things like that work correctly. I know there's lots of bugs and issues that need to be addressed and arguably more important areas, but basic fundamental things like this that work just fine in other Planes should no go for so long unfixed IMO.

Pico Neo3 Link VR - Windows 11 64bit, Gigabyte Z590 Aorus Elite Mobo, i7-10700KF CPU, Gigabyte RX 9070 XT OC 16gb (AMD GPU), 32gig Corsair 3600mhz RAM, SSD x2 + M.2 SSD 1tb x1

Saitek X45 HOTAS - Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals - Logitech Flight Yoke - Homemade 3 Button & 8-directional Joystick Box, SNES Controller (used as a Button Box - Additional USB Numpad (used as a Button Box)

Huh, whats wrong with those? I flew it often and didnt really see anything wrong. But it didn't rain too often.

Hope its not 1 step forward, and 3 steps backward.

Yep

One good thing, they seem to have communicated to (and maybe worked directly with) a number of payware and freeware developers this time.  Encouraging!

I certainly never meant to be crass bobcat999. Apologies if it came out wrong. I know CTD's are incredibly frustrating and I am sympathetic. I've been a victim too, just not with MSFS fortunately. I know its 'keyboard-embedded-in-the-monitor' kind of stuff. It just seems peculiar that we are all using the exact same "programming code" in theory, yet have such different experiences. If only it was that simple. Variables on a PC are immeasurably large. I really do hope they figure out the causes but with all those variables in play across individual PC's, not an easy task for sure.

Thank goodness. This stuff I've got has been ready since August 20th last year. Nearing it's Use By date so will be very happy to get this up and out.

Planning a trip to Mars then? Contrails that come out like rocket fire generally have that effect! 🙃

That's the LPG version, and still only 80cents per litre 😄

There's no rain effects on the glass from within the aircraft, outside it's working fine. Many others have confirmed the issue, I just pray it doesn't have to get a required number of "votes" otherwise it'll never get fixed...
