Asobo should implement a better update system. We've just came after a World Update 3 plagued with trouble and issues and now we face, shortly after, a Sim Update 3. Hopefully they'll do better quality checks and have the updates thoroughly tested and put together in a more reasonnable schedule.

FBW A320X Feature Request. . .

Wonder if this is the update where they'll fix the fuel transfer rate in the DA40 TDi so the pump can actually fill the main tank faster than the engine empties it ?

There is a stack of evidence building on the official MSFS forums that shows the opposite to what you say, especially after the last update.  Even I have started having CTD's now, when I was CTD free for ages.  All these computers don't suddenly go bad.  And most people, like me, empty the community folder straight away to test again.  Believe me, you would as well if you went through the same frustration.

 

I wish I had a Nickle for every time someone posts that they are having CTDs, that they are then told their computer must be defective.

Sure Raptyr, no problem.  👍  I used to think the same -  'No issues here so it must be you!', until it started happening to me! 😀

This doesn't exclude the situation where it actually can be a PC overheating or a software clash from a mod etc.  We all know that definitely can happen, but sometimes there is a spate of occurrences after an update that tend to show something is going on with either the sim, or where people are flying in it etc.

Frustrating... but it is what we have to expect sometimes with software as complex as this.  I am sure a year or two down the line we will be able to look back and laugh about it, as this sim, in general, is only going one way - better by the month.

The Sim is parked in hangar some months ago, I am going to wake up it againg with the DX12pro update if there is improvements with  airliners fluidity and big airports, and if one day there is fludity in VR and high setting to leap to it.

Microsoft (in this case Asobo, but still) can’t make updating windows painless, don’t expect miracles with updating an app from them.

A question: is that good enough? MSFS is generating meta data for scenery (index) and SimObjects and there might be a rolling cache. Are those (reliably) cleaned up automatically?

Can reproduce it for the standard X-Cub, the modified Tundra tires Version by Bush league legends works with rain effects...and is cooler anyway.

That is a sensible question to ask!  I have had mine (Manual and Rolling) turned off for many months now, as there have been problems in the past, and I see no benefit from the caching myself.
I also fly without photogrammetry unless there is a specific reason to turn it on to test something. 

Most people have followed these procedures when trying to trace issues, as it is advice always given out on the forums.

Guess we will just have to see.  My experience so far is that updates have all happened on Tuesdays.  The 11th is a Thursday.  Just saying....  And by the way.  I you plan to fly today and do not want an update to delay you or interfere, then start the sim early to get past the update stage, and leave the sim running.
