Are we getting an update tonight?

Start-up is taking forever.  The bar is moving left to right on the start-up page but ever so slowly.

I really hope you are right.  I'm really not enjoying this stutterfest.

Ryzen 5800X3D, Nvidia RTX5080 - 32 Gig DDR4 RAM, 1TB & 2 TB NVME drives - Windows 11 64 bit MSFS 2024 Premium Deluxe Edition Resolution 2560 x 1440 (32 inch curved monitor)

I'm not trying to be a pessimist, but given the hedging language in last night's development update, prepare yourself to not have all performance issues addressed.

My guess you won't see the update until after the weekend at best. They don't want to break the sim any further right before the weekend.

No, they (Microsoft/Asobo) said the update was today.  And they mentioned that yesterday.

I promise that if it only fixes the 5 fps zones without breaking something else I'll not complain about other things till the next sim update.
I'm in a happy place right now with the sim(outside of those black zones)

Me too. There are a few issues that I see like:

1 Have to sometimes load the flight twice in order to get the flightplan into the G 530

2. Sometimes the 530 comes up with a black screen, reloading the flight fixes it.

3  Icing makes the aircraft unflyable unless the weather is turned off live and temperature is adjusted to above freezing.

4  All autopilots I have tried have problems tracking the LOC, going off around 3-5 degrees at times. , I just hand fly it at that point.

5  Some days the altimeter setting jumps up and down around 500 feet.

None of these are show stoppers, just annoying glitches. That is why I am nervous about any future updates, cause i can easily live with these issues that I have now.

Sorry guys, it was a bad add-on that was holding things up for me.  That was a first for that.
