I spent half the day yesterday doing something I never do, looking at FPS. I decided for myself that 30 FPS was my personal minimum. So, I took my sim from 60 FPS, half ultra and half high, to 30 FPS, all ultra. I've been flying everywhere today, including LA in the CRJ, and smooth as butter. I've decided full ultra at 30 looks better than half ultra at 60. Interesting, what kind of smoothing you did? Maybe it could be help here as well AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 64GB DDR5 6000MHZ RAM, RX7900XT, FreeSync 165hz 1440p display
March 28, 20215 yr A locked 30 will feel miles smoother than a highly variable 60 that ping pongs all over the place, because uneven frame times are the main culprit of microstutters in games, unless you have a variable refresh rate monitor.

That is a good point, I will try that as well. One issue noticed in my stutters, the jumps like 35-> 25 -> 40 -> 20 and continuous like this that breaks the whole immersion for me 😦 AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 64GB DDR5 6000MHZ RAM, RX7900XT, FreeSync 165hz 1440p display
March 28, 20215 yr Since I fixed whatever was broken, when I finish a flight now, and shut the battery off, MSFS doesn't go to the screen where it tells you the log book entry of the flight. As long as it doesn't CTD, I am happy.
March 28, 20215 yr I watched the FPS monitor closely at KATL. Locked at 60, half ultra and half high, I was getting between 45 and 50 with lots of Main Thread limiting and bad stutters. Locked at 30, half ultra and half high, it was smooth and NO Main Thread limit problems. I took one item at a time up to ultra until I had everything at ultra and it's been running and looking good ever since. I did do a night approach to Doha, OTBD, and had 2 momentary pauses on short final. I attribute that to scenery loading issues. Joe Alferio i9-9900K + 2080 Ti | 1TB PCIe + 32GB RAM. March 29, 20215 yr I would say about half the time I don't get the end of flight screen, but when I go to the logbook itself the flight is there. Who knows what's going on? Asobo? March 29, 20215 yr For those who suffer form the general stutters, at least in my machine, I realized the issue is because of the VFR map being visible in the toolbar, whereby it some how eats the Cohrent thread and thus causes these annoying stutters. See the FPS counter: With VFR Maps in the toolbar Without VFR Map in the toolbar: Also, I have noticed initially when you load a plane based on Cohrent (glass screen), I have noticed these Cohrent stutters: If I try to reload the plane through the Aircraft selector menu in the Dev mode, Cohrent stutters disappear and overall stutters get way less (ignore the GPU, just focus on the Cohrent spikes): I have sent two Zendesk regarding these findings AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 64GB DDR5 6000MHZ RAM, RX7900XT, FreeSync 165hz 1440p display
