MFS on the iPhone

Featured Replies

Microsoft and Apple have just announced that the Microsoft Flight Simulator will be carried over to the iPhone before the end of the year !

In a joint press release in Redmont and Cupertino, dated on this day, Jorg Neuman, the product head at Microsoft, has declared : « After our amazing PC version meant for serious simmers and the awesome Xbox version which will bring the thrill of flight simulation to new audiences of gamers, we  are excited to announce that we expand the horizon of our beloved franchise to yet another new public, all those people stuck everyday in public transportation to go to work. They will fly on their iPhone !  "

Asobo will recruit  40 people to complete the new "commuter version" before the Holidays season. Neuman added " We will work fast but the new version on the iPhone will be as awesome as and undistinguishable from the PC version. " A panel of commuters of the New York subway, the London tube and Paris métro will serve as an advisory board to Asobo.

According to Microsoft insiders, the new version will be sold exclusively on the MS Store.

From the Apple side, Tim Cook underlined that « Apple and the Microsoft Flight Simulator have had a long love story in the last 40 years since FS1 made its debut on the Apple 2.

We are thrilled to renew our association, bringing the best flight simulator ever to the best smart phone ever. Open new skies has always been on Apple roadmap for half a century.

Apple will, on this occasion, release a Sky Blue version of the iPhone carrying the FS logo on it  with a set of Airpods of the same color shaped as an aviation headset. "

According to Apple , the new MFS version will be sold exclusively in the Apple Store.

Aerosoft Mathijs Kok who had an early look at a prototype was very  impressed, specially by the mini-games that the user can call on the PFD and was heard to say « Prepared and X-Plane are now history".

On accompanying news, Thrustmaster has declared to consider developing  a miniature Hotas (codename "Nanohot" !) for the iPhone.

No comment yet from Google Android division.

This joke has been made a million times and it's still not funny.

I thought it was brilliant... I had already started imagining myself playing MSFS whilst the Trolly Dolly shopped.... I was actually disappointed when I figured out it was April 1.

WELL DONE... c’est c’est bon!

The best prank of them all is to let people believe that it is not "a thing" anymore

"The greatest stunt the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist."

A prize for who names that film - without googling it. . .

I don't know but it was certainly picked from a poem from Charles Baudelaire a sulfurous poet of the 19th century in his Paris Spleen  where he writes "La plus belle des ruses du diable est de vous persuader qu'il n'existe pas"

Yes indeed it was. Good old Baudelaire. "Laisse-moi respirer longtemps, longtemps,. . "

In the film the guy acts like he's quoting it too.

I wouldn't be surprised if the idea came from some older author. It sounds  as old as ole Nick himself.  And that is old !

That's comparatively modern times but yeah, old Nick features in the Old Testament. First mention in Numbers.
