Yes but if there are mushrooms on Mars then all the astronauts need to do is take some bacon with them, some eggs, some hash browns and perhaps tomatoes and they could have a fry up.

I guess, they could then store the methane resulting from excessive and inevitable farts to top-up the starship for the trip back to earth 😛
