June 26, 20214 yr I have not seen any effect of FFTF whatsoever. I have tried all altitudes with all settings but to no avail. I am on P3D V5.1 HF 1. Absolutely no effect, no FPS gain, no texture/autogen gain or other gain. A waste of money in my opinion.
June 26, 20214 yr What settings are you using? I find it works best with unlimited FPS set in p3d vsync on and limit frames externally. I have mine set to FPS scenario in FFTF with fftf range 0.01 - 0.6. June 30, 20214 yr I updated FFTF to the P3D 5.2 version. However, I do run into some issues. First of all, when you want to update the program says that you have to uninstall the previous version. However there is no way I could uninstall it the normal way. So I deleted the entire folder. Then I installed the new version, which opened up normally but FPS and FFTF jump up and down like crazy. When I close FFTF, FPS remains steady but way too low, which is way I need FFTF. P3d settings are: limited to 30 FPS , no Vsync and no TB. Any idea guys? Thanks!! Wim
July 1, 20214 yr FFTF When you run the installer it will tell you, you need to delete the old version then let it delete and install the new version, the installer will do this for you. Raymond Fry.
July 1, 20214 yr Is the 5.2 version of FFTF compatible with HF1 or will we have to wait for another version?

July 2, 20214 yr Why does FFTF Dynamic always end up broken after every single P3D point release? I can sort of understand Active Sky because changes are always made to the weather system with which it interacts. FFTF Dynamic is a great product and I can't use P3D without it, but it is frustrating that we always have to wait at least a week for an update after every point release when all my other addons - of which there are many e.g FSUIPC, GIT, LINDA, OC4BA - work perfectly. Just a thought.

I wonder if there's a valid objective review of what it actually does (or does not) do? I'm on the fence about this one. I used to run it for p4d but I can't recall it having any dramatic effect. perhaps this benefits weaker systems more. It's not a huge investment but I'd rather not have it if it turns out to be a snake oil of sorts eventually.... is there any evidence other than users subjective impressions?
