MSFS - Xbox Series X|S Gameplay Trailer

Recommended Posts

Double thumbs up for me. I know it's unrelated, but Asobo also announced a sequel to A Plague Tale, which is an absolutely stunning game. So happy

From their FB page:  "Microsoft Flight Simulator

Ian Pitre Right now you will be able to use Xbox gamepad, keyboard and mouse, Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas One, Thrustmaster T.Flight Rudder, and HORI HOTAS Flight Stick for Xbox One. New, Xbox-compatible peripherals will be announced soon, but we cannot share any further details at this time."

Also:  I believe Honeycomb announced a while back a set of Xbox controllers.

And don't forget guys, the improvements they made for Xbox will filter down to the PC version.  They said that in the last Q&A.  They said that means a significant performance boost for us.  I think that all comes with the DX12 version for PC, If I'm not mistaken.  I wonder if that will be the next sim update for July.

I don't understand those comments. Will the Xbox version bi different then PC version? Why would you want to play it on xbox if you already have PC version?

Flexibility? Maybe someone is travelling away from home, while dragging your Pc might not be an option, just taking an Xbox and using a TV already at the other place you want to play MSFS all of a sudden simming away from home is possible.

Unless they are the usual partisan not-pickers from the other sims, I really can't see how anyone can find anything negative to say, but some people will try to find a way I suppose.

it wont matter anyway as the quality and content on display speaks for itself, so any snide remarks will simply bounce off.

To steal an American phrase, I think I might be 'pumped' about this.  I hope I haven't used the phrase incorrectly.  I hope it isn't anything rude!

Call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind, but I prefer Rob.

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Some will claim it is too realistic.

I think even PC-only users have good reasons to be excited. Xbox is DirectX 12 only, so we're getting DX12 for PC, including all the optimisations for Xbox they've been talking about for months in the dev Q&A live sessions.

They said they're not going to maintain two separate branches for PC and Xbox, so an update with lots of performance improvements is coming to PC soon. Hopefully around the release date for Xbox, but I wouldn't be suprised if the DX12 release for PC is slightly out of sync with the Xbox release due to additional beta testing.

When you see how extremely willing the console players are to buy downloadable content, you have to wonder how many millions of dollars will be injected into the flight sim eco system going forward.
