Looks great but I suspect without autopilot it will meet fate of Long EZ

Agreed looks nice... avionics look very basic though.  Typically RV owners add really nice stuff to their cockpits.  Engine monitors, GTX 345 transponder, GTNs, / glass PFD/MFD such as Gamrin G5.

I agree they went way off in left field with the avionics. No idea what they were thinking there...

Probably trying to speed up dev time.  I don't even see an AP though....  I've yet to meet and RV owner without at least a 2 axis AP....  (and I've met a lot!)

For example....this really nice RV10 for XP11 is well equipped (even if you don't use RXP GTN or GNS)

Yes this layout is a winner!

Logical choice for an add-on. It's hard to find a GA field that doesn't have several. I shared a hangar with one for many years, and my best flying buddy also flew one.

Is it just the taildragger version they will release, or does it come in RV8A Tri-Gear version as well? I hate taildraggers 😬

*GASP* Oh no you did NOT just say that!!

Still it looks like nice textures and modeling.  I think I read there is an RV-8 pilot on the team.  So likely I'll be buying this thing.  Although not ideal, there are always the default autopilot key bindings.

So much obsession with autopilots !  There is always slew mode if you are really adverse to hand flying for any length of time 😄

Flightsims trim poorly.  I can sit in the Musketeer irl and be almost hands off, even with some light turbulence.  Anyway the point is, these RV's are not like your rental Skyhawks...the vast majority would have autopilots.  Even the ancient JF Turbo Arrow I just bought has a basic AP.
