I can't wait to fly this baby but I have not recieved my download link! My account at PMDG shows my purchase and order number and that the order is "completed".. I have shot off a help request to PMDG , no response yet.. I know they're busy but maybe I'm doing something wrong.. Any ideas? Cheers Danielw

I'm in the same boat here, purchased about 45 minutes ago; purchase and order number shows in account but nothing received via email except the  "Thanks for Registering"  from PMDG when I created the account.

In the web portal click your order # and then you have a download button. And it requires an emailed passcode to finally get the download pop-up window to choose file save location. Turn off popup blockers otherwise you will never get the option to save the download.

I don't really care for this bird, but this release gets us a lot closer to 737. Whoever is buying it, enjoy!

+1

Kudos to PMDG for getting it out the door and I look forward to everyone's excitement.

THIS IS SO #^%#%#%#^% Frustrating.

I purchased the product. It shows on my account. I click the download link it sends me an authorization code. I enter the code, click the download button, it sends me another authorization code, I enter the code, click the download button, it sends me another authorization code...I have received and entered 6 authorization codes now. I am sick of entering authorization codes. I want to download the silly file...UGH!!!!!

turn off your popup blocker. A window is trying to open to save the file location but your blocker is stopping it.

The sounds, man. The sounds.

They nailed the sounds. So far, I'm pretty happy just taxiing around with the window open.

at $54.99 no less!!

So it seems like my prediction of mass vs price in combination with kind of a "promo" for their upcoming products to new simmers, was not all too wrong. 🙂

Happy with MSFS 🙂

No brainer in terms of what do you mean?

I've never flow the DC-6 - it's very old and rather lumbering and boring.

No brainer in terms of a No-Buy?

Just saying Id rather be flying the DC-6 than a modern jet,but the wife won't move to Alaska lol

Love the plane, now got to learn an awful lot to fly it properly! One odd problem - the yoke and flying services (ailerons and rudder) are not visibly moving, although the controls are working. The rudder pedals are visually moving in the cockpit though.  Anyone else seeing this?

Anyone figure out how to turn on the gyro pilot. I can't get altitude  lever to move, ?

So that you guys know. Multiplayer enable causes the DC-6 to crash. Confirmed by PMDG

What is the performance like, I only see about 30fps with default steam c172 so I imagine I'd take a big hit

It's interesting to me to see so many people new to this plane.    It's long been available not just for XPlane but also for P3D...  are you folks who are new to it jumping on it just because it's the first PMDG plane for the new sim and you want something of theirs to mess with even if it's not what your usual fare would be?

I'd also be interested in the opinions of folks who try it who have experience with the P3D version as well.   I bought the P3D edition almost as soon as it was available and I love the thing.  I'm just wondering how they compare, with the exclusion of the obvious fact that the MSFS version is going to look much better.  Thoughts on that?

(Edit:  Reading back over this, I'm afraid it may have sounded a bit too "their first album was better / I knew them before they were famous"...  I don't mean it that way at all.  I'm sure I'm going to get this one, myself, and I'm just truly curious about the level of interest in it from folks who apparently haven't used the P3D or XPlane versions.)
