What would happen if I went to the MSFS forum when a new world update is out and ask: "Hi guys, does this update include replay, a particle system and the ability to set exact RVR?" 😆

Particle system btw is coming soon from what I hear. People would probably NOT tell you how a real simulator doesn't need this and that and how this and that are only important for gaming kiddies - and how your expectations are entitled and you shouldn't be asking anything from the super sympa Garage Band software vendor because he is already doing aLL hE cAN!!!! Laminar Research customer -- Asobo/MS customer -- not an X-Aviation customer - or am I? 😉

Particle System and FMOD for scenery is something that i'm eagerly waiting for in any platform, Xplane is allegedly doing that for their next-gen, but I hope MSFS get this too so we can have more alive and reactive scenery. June 28, 20214 yr I dont know how me using xplane makes me or anyone a word not allowed, I have my reasons for not using MSFS same reason I refuse to by apple. Hm now my post is nonsense, maybe i shouldnt bother Edited June 28, 20214 yr by mjrhealth

But most likely some folks would also burst a vessel and call me all sorts of names 🙄 - and rightfully so in this case, because I totally well know that the stuff I would be asking about is not included and I just asked them to *** people off.

June 28, 20214 yr Alright, lets all try to get back to the original subject of this thread, shall we? 11.55r2 is the second beta for 11.55 which was described in detail here: https://developer.x-plane.com/2021/06/crash-fixing-airports-photometric-lighting/ As Ben Supnik detailed, the main objective of 11.55 was to fix a lingering crash bug. Secondary objective was adding the latest Gateway airports. This did not completely work right in 11.55r1 (for example a lot of labels were "2D" instead of "3D" in the airport GUI), so a second beta was released to fix this. Ben also talks about the new lighting and I think he made it pretty clear that it is not part of 11.55...and won´t be part of V11 at all. Cheers, Jan

But only MSFS is pretending to be something it isnt (a serious sim for serious aviators with serious money to spend - starting at $1000 just for exactly the same copy of xp11 you have installed) Hey...My point is that if threads are closed due to debates....why are the XP gatekeepers constantly bring up MSFS in XP threads to start debates??? I am fine with coming into an XP thread, discussing XP only and not bothering to debate about the competition.

Excellent, I look forward to it. Just don't expect anyone else to be so narrowly focused. Flightsim spans a few genres, and XP has a lot of all of them. Let's fly over the overt and constant trolling by jarmstro, in any case it wasn't me who brought up MSFS in this thread. I replied to jarmstro and his mentioning of MSFS. Where does Ben say that? All he says is that it's too soon to give a date. I can't see any reason why it can't be patched into 11.55 when it's ready? He makes no mention of XP12. (Seems like my question wasn't so ridiculous after all.)
