Not once have I wondered about the flowers while being in an actual airplane.

On the ground, with the grasses swaying, no buttercups, daises or dandelions too!

Speak to Bijan - I recon he could put that right.   He already has lots of colourful blossoms in his spring seasons tree pack.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Ha! Ha!  Now don't go giving me ideas.  I have a week off from work next week, and I have spare paint!  😀

Seriously though, the flowers thing might have some mileage to it.  Asobo are dead keen on this digital twin thing for the planet.  It must be doable I reckon.

If the "BFD" about MSFS is the scenery, then why not go all in? If it embellishes and therefore enhances the immersive experience for many or only for some even, then why not? The development costs for including such attributes, evident in the referenced videos, would not be prohibitive.

OK ... sooo ... what we really need in MSFS is those beginner side quests where you get to pick flowers and stuff ...

the sun shining down on these green fields of France

the warm wind blows gently and the red poppies dance

the trenches have vanished long under the plow

no gas, no barbed wire, no guns firing down

but here in this graveyard that's still no mans land

the countless white crosses in mute witness stand

till' man's blind indifference to his fellow man

and a whole generation were butchered and damned

AGH yes, one of the really great anti war songs in my opinion. I always play this on my music system on ANZAC day and it is quite often played as a feature of the Dawn Services on 25 April. Another is John Kellys' A moment of time.

Something to think about in all times of conflict.
