July 5, 20214 yr Seems to now be released. Yeah sadly looks like no floaty version yet. https://aeroplaneheaven.com/product_cessna_msfs.php
July 5, 20214 yr I'll catch it from PC Aviator on one of their 10% off days, that'll help a bit. Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. July 5, 20214 yr Seems like a cool little plane. If anyone buys it, please leave us a little review? AMD Ryzen R9 9950X3D | Asus Astral RTX 5080 OC | 32 GB DDR5 6000 CL30 | 3440x1440 G-Sync | Logitech Pro Throttles Rudder Yoke Panels | Thrustmaster T.16000M FCS | TrackIR 5 | Oculus Rift S

Some observations: Load screen is generic 172 tag lines...no big deal but I do like to see some plane specific info, a little attention to detail missing. My initial impression of the visuals is that they are good, maybe a notch below JF Arrow but not definitely not bad (please understand I do not run 4K, everything on Ultra/High but 1080p) Sounds are very well done with one exception...the open window does not seem to change sounds, a bit disappointing but not a deal breaker considering the rest of the sounds are good. Interior lights work as expected as do the gauges except I could not get the amp meter to register...may be operator error, I will continue to investigate. I am not a pilot and have never seen a 140 in person but it seems to fly "by the numbers" after checking with an operation manual. It does feel good to me although it suffers from the "MSFS torque-tastic takeoff trouble." but that is not a model specific FM issue. I haven't had a go at the radios and will not be using glass on this bird. I think I will fly this a great deal...def worth the $ if you like vintage GA planes.
July 5, 20214 yr I like the plane if you toggle the avionics button the Garmins disappear and reappear which is cool. with avionics on... Edited July 5, 20214 yr by Todd2
July 5, 20214 yr Looks pretty cool. What's the dev of the plane like? Will this be more likely to be updated regularly or become abandonware in the next few months?
July 5, 20214 yr I noticed one problem with the sound. The sounds are good except the sound is much louder in cockpit mode vs external, making it hard to hear ATC. This should be an easy fix for the developer.

Aeroplane Heaven has been around for some time and did a lot of vintage military stuff for fsx/P3D...I do my military flying in other sims so i never got any of their stuff but I gather that they have a pretty good track record. Hopefully some others will chime in who have more direct experience.. The ammeter does appear to be bugged but otherwise she seems to be in good form and fun to fly.

I might have to get this one. I'm loving the vintage aesthetic, and the tundra tire / bush wheel version might be cool flying around the PNW with. 😄 And thanks for the pictures, Todd2 AMD Ryzen R9 9950X3D | Asus Astral RTX 5080 OC | 32 GB DDR5 6000 CL30 | 3440x1440 G-Sync | Logitech Pro Throttles Rudder Yoke Panels | Thrustmaster T.16000M FCS | TrackIR 5 | Oculus Rift S
July 5, 20214 yr I agree that cockpit engine sound needs to be cut in half. I owned a 1946 C-140 IRL. Handles pretty realistically. Could use an out-of-factory livery and a simple VOR navcomm. Seems to run a bit slow - I got 105 mph at 2350 RPM IRL I had to have this one but slightly preferred the FSX version. But have to give them a shot at working out the kinks since this is just day one. I’m getting the same FPS as other aircraft in MSFS.
