City not airport

Vancouver BC is excellent- there is some sort of an interesting looking carnival or amusement park downtown.

Downtown Pittsburgh and Phoenix are very nice also.

So may great looking locations to explore!

Question l, if you download the freeware or payware. And there is a global update from ms do they all need to be updated to be compatible?

sorry for a stupid question but I’m new to msfs.

and loving it so far.

cheers

That depends on the update and what specific changes it brings. The World Updates often brought with them some incompatibilities with scenery updates (both payware and freeware) that cover the same area (like a payware scenery for London, and then the sim itself updates the London scenery).

I generally try to wait before I buy larger payware scenery for a particular region when I know that a World Update will be upcoming for the same region.

I see… thank you for the clarification.

The Expo 86 site? Technically, the Expo 86 site is outside downtown Vancouver.

Vancouver is overall a beautiful city in real life. In MSFS there is photogrammetry for downtown and a little outside downtown so downtown Vancouver looks amazing, especially in the backdrop of the sea and the mountains. However, photogrammetry is missing for much of metro Vancouver.  Where the photogrammetry is missing, Vancouver looks “meh.”

Try Brazil, right around the area with the Christ the Redeemer statue

I don't know if it's the Expo site as I've never been there in real life but it's pretty cool looking form the air.

Chelmsford.

The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA

If you are installing an addon that replaces an Asobo handcrafted airport you should always uninstall the Asobo handcrafted version first to be safe,

If the world update contains mesh changes which will alter the heights of the local terrain there will often be conflicts with an addon which assumes the surrounding area is at the old height.  In that case you definitely will need an updated addon matching the new mesh.

Many of the default photogrammetry cities that were included in Bing maps look very good. Venice, Naples, Munich and many others all look great. The Japanese cities look phenomenal as well.

I do not like the looks of London, Oxford, Cambridge, Paris and Amsterdam; too many melted buildings. Perhaps these cities are so detailed they require a better connection.

ASOBO is aware of the ones you mentioned.  It's not you.  I can't remember when they said they were going to get updated again.
